What's new

HIT handover new Tanks to Frontier Corps

.
i think ur mixing FC (rangers/police) with Frontier corps, an army division!!
probably the best in PA! they fought in somalia too with US!

Oh no!! That was some FF unit a regular infantry unit, not FC

.
Tanks handed over are the new Al-Khalid 1.

NO they are not. AL-Khalid will only make its way to frontier corps after the all formations of the army have been re-equipped with Al-khalid.
The tanks that were handed to frontier corps were Al-Zarrar.

Frontier Corps/Rangers are para military troops which fall under the interior ministry. They are second tier troops ment basically for internal security (I.S) duty.
They are good but certainly not the best and technically they are not part of PA either even though all their officer are from PA ( and the shalwar hameez ki nokri as it is know, is considered very prestigious and highly converted ).
Their were no FC units in Somalia at the time. As i recall their was a punjab regt. unit, a FF unit, a armour unit (19 lancers) and a company + from SSG.

. . .
im sure nothing new in it every year military eatin and getting 15 percent increase in budget but in out put we get same old nothing new what is the use of increasing in budget when we get old

.
Tanks or not would be nice if they get some armor to make travel a little safer, i assume IED's are as a much of a problem in Pakistan as they are in Afghanistan.

.
Pakistan should continue to modernize the tank and APC Fleets and raise additional brigades. Older versions being converted to Al-Zarrar also with help augument the armoured corps. Good job again HIT.

They r all given kevlar... but yeah they need MRAPs( one of them in development) n helis.

. .
Burraq MRAP is in slow-rate production. what we need is 'wheeled' APC's for the FATA area.

Below is a good option to look into. We can get local production, plus we can further enhance it into a MRAP with capability to take RPG-7 hits. I am impressed with the videos of this vehicle.

Some crews like .crew served 50 caliber, but I like AGL -- big kill radius, excellent range - you don't have to be a marksman or a sniper
