What's new

History Made - Russian Spymaster visits Pakistan, gets access to Gwadar Port.

with this move an india pak war is getting more and more important for the global powers. they need chaos in pak to check both of their giant enemies i.e. russia and china. so chaos in pak can be created by two ways :
1. by creating civil unrest and terrorism in pak.
2. by launching india on pak
first option was worked upon for the past decade but raheel sharif turned it into a failure. TTP, BLA, MQM are gone. so now they may go for the option 2 as the have the right kind of "idiot" as indian PM who can be made to dance on their tunes. a third option can be used which is to buy pak leaders which is very easy for them. just a few more dollars and batch of F-16s coupled with some threats and pak leaders can do anything for them.

History is repeating itself. World is going to be bipolar again. There must be a power to balance the power of USA after disintegration of USSR. Also it is natural for Russia to want it's glory once it had. Co operation of Russia China and Pakistan will create big block against the US. Which is necessary to keep US at bay.

Now he might threaten to cut air on Pakistan by stopping the winds coming from India:omghaha::pakistan:

Ha ha ha .. as they say it is just the beginning .Lets see how the winds of change blow. Russia has exhasted lot of resources while dealing with sanctions from E.U and U.S. it has also spent lot of resource (though not economic) on Syria air and ground campaign. It is time for Russia to come up on the economic front. This is a great oppurtunity for Russia to justify its place in the wolrd.I hope it lives up to it.

i dont know why some guyz argue about russia's export.
didnt they knew steel or iron is the biggest industry of russia and west had put sanctions, imagine if same steel comes to gwader to rest of the world.
simple russia check mate that west sanction....

So just IRON/Steel can makes a huge difference to Russia and Pakistan

That's gonna give our neighbors serious burns :D :D

:pakistan::pakistan::china::china:
Our neighbors have nothing to worry about. Just wait for their comments confirming how Russians are their slaves bcuz of Indian money in defense deals. What would Russia do without Indian money? They r nothing without India.

That still is a longgggg distance. Unless Russians are looking to increase trade with Africa it might not be of big advantage to them. The have plenty of oil so that middle east connectivity wont be as charming for them either.

Anyway, a welcoming news as we get isolated further!!

like i said

It not just about the Trade, plz read these two post in continuation of each other

Yes, of course. I look at China and Russia not in respect of Su-35s or miles of motorway built. These are tangibles and superficial. More profound is the culture of change that they will bring. Pakistan has been shaped by America in the preceding 50 years. Most of the time this meant doleouts to keep the elite happy, cultivating the right wing religious mullahdom to offset the threat from the left leaning socialists. Now these reactionery forces have gone out of control and America after having got it's job done has walked away.

I am confident Gwadar and CPEC will usher in Chinese influece and the right wing mullahdom is going to get muzzled. Chinese and rampant religiousity are nemesis and cannot subsist together. That is why I watch on the Chinese dawn in Pakistan in amusement. Interesting times. Out of this will come a new Pakistan where people like me can be comfortable with.

The overall impact of the Chinese and Russian influence along with the economic growth is likely to assist in the growth of Islamic faith in the country at individual level. I recall the 80s when it was peaceful with very little sectarian issues in the city I grew up in, and people believed in doing good taught in the faith. Introduction of Miss Dish had quite a huge impact and still does to date. When there is unemployment and you start flashing the capitalist world (borrow and spend and be in debt), the wishes of public increases to such an extent that it breeds crime and man turning away from the faith. That policy to suddenly open the frequencies to international commercial media was a terrible move but something cleverly planted on us as well.

What's done is done and we are here. Things will only improve going forward, and the politics of the mullahs & sects yes will eventually die. Critical issue for us is the education system needs to be scrapped and redesigned, we can no longer afford this dumb down industrial atheists churning factory anymore.

It's a sign that Pakistan is now also a corridor for trading between Africa and Russian.

Or Gwadar will be the supporting point for Russian strategic existence in Indian Ocean.

Trading through black sea might be easier for the Russians.

Strategic presence through Gwadar? Unless Pakistan become a full blown ally/ satellite I don't see it.

A tunnel passing under Afghan territory is technically still a border crossing and subject to Afghan immigration rules..
who do you speak to in afghanistan? the principality of kabul? honestly hand a few dollars and use influence to overcome this hurdle.

I hope india too can share this trade route since there is alot to gain from.

It might look impossible in near future but who knows when peace prevails. It will give great boost to indian manufacturing units.
