HINDUVTA’S KILLING HINDUISM

Church was reported to be vandalized which casts doubt.
Yes, it was and a large amount of money was ransacked. While it is also true that the unfortunate victim was threatened for life and rape few weeks back for taking some strict disciplinary actions in the institution. On the whole, it never seemed an 'attack on Christians' by Hindu fundamentalists to be honest.

Islam is not alien in our daily life so don't tell us about your Islamic credentials....
You need to tell these stories to Indian Muslims who are suffering in the hands of Hindutvadi terrorists, not me. Minority persecution by Hindutvadi terrorists has reached to such a level where even President Obama, after drinking tea from Modi, had to go on with lecturing India on its mistreatment of minorities, while he was still on the Bharti soil. Smell the coffee!

Church was reported to be vandalized which casts doubt.
There was no church, there was looting of money & damaging of a chapel inside the premises of a school.

Here's a possible angle being mentioned:

Bengal nun rape: Police look at link to local real estate players

With the West Bengal police still to make an arrest in the alleged rape of an elderly nun and ransacking of a convent school in Ranaghat, and the state deciding to hand over the case to the CBI, The Indian Express has learnt that one lead being looked at is whether the incident had a “real-estate link” involving people interested in a vacant plot which the school didn’t want to sell.

National Highway 34 runs through Ranaghat and work on its expansion is underway. On one side is the nun’s school and 25 “stalls” where agencies offer “security to interested parties, protection, permanent/temporary jobs” in a town where mushrooming of schools has created a huge demand for security guards, teachers and non-teaching staff.

Most of these stalls are said to be controlled by a local politician who switched loyalty to the Trinamool Congress recently. The stalls, which were encroachments along the highway, have been told to move because of the expansion work.

Sources said these stalls had been eyeing a vacant plot adjoining the school as their next stop. Feelers were sent for negotiating a deal but the school said it was not interested in selling the land, sources said.

A Krishnanagar-based missionary, attached to the nun’s school, said: “If rehabilitation of the displaced agencies is in question, it is for the government to do that, not the school. In fact, the school, which opened 18 years ago on local demand, has always felt the need for more land to offer better facilities to students.”

Outraged over the March 14 attack, many in Ranaghat want police to “screen and probe” people who do “contract jobs” for these ‘agency’ stalls.

Asked about the possibility of a real-estate link to the incident, Indrajit Basu, sub-divisional police officer at Ranaghat, said: “The church and missionary bodies possess huge prime land. Disputes or clash of interests over this can be a factor. All aspects are being looked into. We will be most happy to say there has been a breakthrough in the case.”

Sources said the Trinamool Congress leader, who is the local real estate overlord, purchased 80 cottah — one cottah is 720 square feet — of prime land along NH-34 from the Roman Catholic Church for a little over Rs 1 crore though the deal, going by the prevailing market rate there, should have been worth Rs 10 crore.

An official said when the sale was announced, no one in town showed any interest to buy the land. The church wanted to sell the land because it was finding it difficult to keep out encroachers. A portion was also being acquired by the highway authorities for expansion work.

The widening of NH-34 has escalated the price of land along the highway from Rs 2-Rs 3 lakh per cottah to about Rs 8-10 lakh per cottah.
Father John, at the office of the Archbishop of Krishnanagar under whose jurisdiction the Ranaghat Roman Catholic Church falls, said: “We were not getting buyers. But the moment it was sold, questions did arise from certain quarters why was the property sold at such a low rate.”

The Indian Express visited the residence of the Trinamool Congress leader and requested his staff for a meeting but was denied.

Police sources said they were also probing why the security guard at the school was “the least harmed” person in the four-hour attack on March 14. The guard was not assaulted, only tied up. Moreover, an iron rod on the window of an outer room — through which the attackers gained entry — was filed away. To cut the rod would have taken 15 to 30 minutes, so why didn’t the guard inside react, sources said.

In the last one year, at least three security guards have been sacked by the school authorities. Police teams have been sent to their homes in “North India” to question them on the attack because the assailants seemed to be very familiar with the school layout, sources said.

Possibly, but then sort of talk we hear from VHP's top brass is not helping either.

Err - don't lecture us about the plight of Minorities. Just look at the mirror, you'll see the bitter reality. You'll see what pious Muslims are doing in your country. Try and look for the Population of Minorities in 1947 and in 2014.

You better fix your House, don't preach us.

Somehow I believe the West Bengal nun rape case got a dishonest interpretation. Not a single circumstantial evidence suggest it was a religiously motivated crime. The careful distinction between such a case and a crime inspired by prearranged vendetta for few other reasons was perhaps not respected by the church authority itself.

Missionary funds talking nothing else. Unnecessary fear mongering, such non sense needs to stop ASAP from their side or else they might get what they are crying for.

A retired top cop writes an article and claims he exaggerated things to grab attention.
A retired Naval Chief comes out and speaks out ..
A national sportswomen like Mary Kom.

This will not be tolerated if they are going to whine and b!tch with no real reason at all.

VHP is well known for their loose cannons but good for them, so far they are clean in this case and RSS, the more disciplined branch has condemned the incident.

Some 'whining and bitching' came for few valid reasons. A good number of church have been vandalized and the perpetrators, whether for lack of zeal from Police or not have not been brought under the book. The immediate reaction, that we are watching is behind every assault on a minority institution or individual it has to be a necessarily Hindutva activist.

BS and nonsense. There is no place in India today where missionaries can talk about 'false gods' and attack Hinduism and not face the conseuqnces (they'll probably end up in the hospital). Hindus are not some herded sheep that don't stand up for themselves. This idea of poor subdued 'hindus under attack is BS and nonsense). I do believe that in some rural areas missionary work has involved conversion through inducement. However the problem really is nowhere close to what the right wing proclaims it to be. And as for these specific people, we are strong enough to bring them to book through perfectly legal means.

Christans have not only been a very vital part of the community but have disproportionately contributed to the development of the country. Their contributions through education,. traditions and military personnel, scientists and leadership has been exceptional. Instead of making this some Hindu Vs all relegions kind of mentality, we should accept that India's diverse relegions take pride in being Indian and have contributed extensively to our society. A few rotten eggs in such a large population is expected, that should be handled appropriately, not through attacks and intimidation.
Of Course not.I didntt questioned their patriotism. They did a lot for this nation. But I dont like onesided reporting of medias or politicians .I dont like that hypocrisy.Reporting and judging should be fair.

Recently a vetran cop published a stupid article with retarded title for mere attention .He did that after he took allthose privileges from GoI under tax payers money including entire religions.
And in that article he even failed to justify his title later a writer from his own community figured it out. That is what we called as hypocrisy .Stupidity like this only make things more worse. And there is also another reason which I already explained in the post you quoted.

An they will remain clean even if involved. VHP/RSS ideology has seeped into all the departments including Police and Judiciary. Who will apprehend the involved, and who all testify against the accused, and who will sentence them? Have we not seen how Samjhota express and Gujarat riots are dealt with the Police and Judiciary?

the sooner modi reins in these people the better... I doubt he will see another 5 years... whichever way he decides to act.
