how does it relate with ravan getting whopped by bali?
Dear Punit first of all our culture is based of Vedas not Ramayan or Mahabharata and their is no religion called Hindu. We are Ethistics but free to adopt good ideas, knowledge, and flexible enough to respect other religious faith.
How ?
A shaloka in Rigveda
नासदासीन्नोसदासीत्तादानीं नासीद्रजो नो व्योमापरो यत |
किमावरीव: कुहकस्यशर्मन्नम्भ: किमासीद्गहनं गभीरं ||
Srishtee se pehle sat nahin thaa, asat bhi nahin
(Before creation there was no truth, or untruth)
Antariksh bhi nahin, akash bhin nahin thaa
(no universe, not even the sky)
chhipaa thaa kyaa kahaan, kisne dhakaa thaa
(Where was it hidden, who hid it ?)
us pal to agam, atal jal bhi kahaan thaa
(At that time there was no water)
Srishtee kaa kaun hai kartaa
(who is he creator ?)
Kartaa hai vaa akartaa
Oonche aakash mein rahtaa
(Who stays up there in the sky )
Sada adhyaksh banaa rahtaa
(who is in charge)
Wahin sachmuch mein jaantaa..Yaa nahin bhi jaanataa
(He truly must know everything, and maybe not!)
Hai kisi ko nahin pataa, nahin pataa,
(no one knows..no one knows)
Nahin hai pataa, nahin hai pataa
Clearly shows they are seeking the reality of the Creator who knows everything, and also doubting he might not be able to Know every thing of his creation >> showing
High degree of Philosophical thinking and
The restless Pursuit, desperation of the Truth or Knowledge .
When we talking about Ramayana, the importance of events and story is not the story itself but the SAAR. Ramayana is full of examples and knowledge given in the form of characters.
E.g Ravana is the character that represent the most knowlegable man on the earth at that time with 10 heads means knowledge of 6 shastra and 4 Vedas, but when in the wrong path, which leads to his distruction and due to his deed distruction of his family and the whole city called Lanka.
Baali the character of Immense power, but on wrong path, leads to his death.
Hanuman the character, which becomes even bigger than his Idol Ram. Which shows its not the God that gives everything to the man, but its the man who makes the God.
Ram the character who is consider as the Maryada Purshottam --- The perfect Purush, but then how could he expell Sita because some people in his kindom was talking of her character.
