The clashes erupted after a community objected to the playing of hymns at a temple, switched off the loudspeaker and beat up some men.

Police resorted to a baton charge to control the mob. A police officer has been suspended and a hunt is on to nab the rioters.

District magistrate Navdeep Rinwa said the National Security Act would be slapped on people who started the clashes. Police have been deployed in large numbers to prevent any further clashes

Sunni Muslims are on high in UP. They have done 24+ riots in 24 months of Mulla (Mullayam) Raj in UP. Hindus are living in fear, this fear will convert in Vote. Out of 80 MP seats BJP will get 35+ in UP. Only BJP can save Hindus from Sunni-Muslim terrorism in UP...

Lucknow, July 27 (IANS) Two people, including a woman, were killed and over a dozen injured in clashes between two communities in a village in Uttar Pradesh, police said Saturday.

The clashes erupted in Nagla Mal village in Meerut district late Friday after a community objected to the playing of hymns at a temple, switched off the loudspeaker and beat up some men.

Police resorted to a baton charge to control the mob. A police officer has been suspended and a hunt is on to nab the rioters.

Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) R.K. Vishwakarma told IANS that one person was killed in the skirmish and the other died of a cardiac arrest.

District Magistrate Navdeep Rinwa said the National Security Act would be slapped on people who started the clashes. Police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in large numbers to prevent any further clashes.

Thats not an exaggeration , I'm from U.P. you wont find these news in mainstream secular media. Such news are buried inside the pages of local newspapers. BJP is already gaining in UP according to polls although it is due to inefficient govts in state and the centre. Yes mayawati was better than mulayam because she was the only gunda in her govt and she kept the screw tight on other petty gundas, whereas SP is a party full of gundas with multiple power centres.

I agree. I supported Akhilesh, but it seems Mayawati was indeed a hundred times better.
Not only did she control the religious riots, she also controlled the criminals quite effectively. And she did some development, so far from Akhilesh, I have seen nothing but speeches.

UP needs to be further divided into atleast 2-3 more states. A state with 200 million people is always going to be hard to manage.

Totally agree, however to say that Hindus are scared of Muslims and conversion is exaggeration, atleast not in the part of the UP (Purvanchal) I am from.
