Unfortunately, in past 15 years the websites meant for bringing people closer or were simply meant for fun have taken the terrible route. Social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter or Reddit are becoming not just a platform for socializing and business but also are becoming source of information.
Now, out of those information which one is correct and which one is incorrect is really difficult for a layman to understand. Mis-information is the cause of growing seeds of misunderstanding, extremism, accident and most importantly false concept of dominance of one nation against the other.
We request you for not to become a part of mis-information. Kindly, before posting any news make sure that news source is taken from:

• Official news sources
• Official government sources
• Official announcement made by companies from their respective handle.
• Authentic research journals
• Official databases

In case if any of you receive any video on whatsapp or any other sources, try to analyze and confirm those video first. We can save lots of lives if play our part well by spreading proper information and debunking misinformation and specially yellow journalism.

As long as they are trying to convey their narrative from official sources they are allowed. If you as a Pakistani poster worry about countering their sources than bring reference from your official news source or debunk their yellow journalism in the same manner.

I would love to debunk their official sources but it becomes very tedious when Indians bring articles from opIndia / Swarajya / Hindustan Times that spread fake news. Even Wikipedia has listed these sources as fake news peddlers.

PDF management can take a big step towards preventing information pollution here by not allowing titles without original content. Unfortunately, I want to share the news that I read and think is important from time to time. Bcs the most parts of the PDF achieved such a character. These contents should actually be used to enrich the subject within the original topics (titles initiated by members' own articles or researches).

Mr. Slav Defence, I write this suggestion here because I think you know a lot about the post-truth concept and information wars. It is not possible for me to explain the reasons behind this suggestion to most of other users.

Need of hour since propaganda sources are more active as compare to original source or content. We are facing flood of whatsapp or FB type random analyst where our own members are unfortunately convinced for their own respective interest regardless of genuineness of material and keep creating threads in reply to some other content. Had it been about ethics of reporting and credibility of subject, we will have less issues but then again it's became like defending the guilty party no matter if one has to lie.

For "news" topics, I cannot agree that "official" news sources are exempt from mis-, dis- and mal-information. It is very often non-official news sources are more likely to provide truth than are official sources which are advancing the agenda of their "office".
