This artifact, found in Rokhri District Mianwali, Punjab, depicts a youthful noble lady with a lavish golden headpiece and an intricate hairstyle. A portion of her hair is curled and dyed with henna, a practice that still continues in parts of Pakistan. This artwork shows influence from Gandhara, a once thriving Kingdom and culture of North Punjab and North-West regions of Pakistan. This piece is very rare and precious as it is one of the few artifacts of this region with it's coloring still intact and offers a valuable insight into the culture and people of ancient Pakistan.

Currently in the Lahore Museum.

This is an invaluable find...Thank you

Who knows who were ruling there at that time.....may be the Kushanshahs who were allied with the guptas against the Sassanids..or may be even the hepthalites....Gupta administration never extended past Sialkot though, which is just below modern day Jammu
