Hello everyone.

Ramadan Kareem to all.

My name is Sarmad Ishfaq, and I wanted to share my latest article which Harvard has published, titled "Coercion and Enticement: How the Indian Media Lost Its Soul to the BJP".

The article describes how the BJP and its trolls used threats, violence, bribes, and extortion to take over the Indian media. Anti-BJP channels are boycotted using coercion, while the pro-BJP channels are rewarded with bribes and govt advertisements. The so-called "largest democracy in the world" is home to one of the world's most oppressed (and controlled) media.

to be clear this is NOT a Harvard University publication, rather a student publication as the disclaimer clearly states. Sarmad, your article itself is just a collection and regurgitation of allegations over several years by the anti-BJP squad, very little actual truth in any of it. Guess good enough for liberal student essays

I am glad Indian media is dying a slow death by the hands of BJP goons. When media dies democracy follows suit. India falling into the hands of fascists, mmmmmmmmm interesting case study

with 2 Pakistan flags you shouldn't presume to define democracy and especially to India which happens to be the biggest exponent of it. But that that's what makes you 'glad' is entirely in character. enjoy

You have quantity, no quality. If being a self procaimed "biggest exponent" of democracy you have picked leader like Modi then LANAT on your democracy.

What else would I expect a Pakistani to say, and that too about India. I know Modi has scared the living daylights out of you but don't worry, he will not harm you.

As I said a racist would say that

bla bla bla

Honestly, Modi doesn't scare us.
Surely there is something inside you that tells you that what you have in India isn't democracy, beyond the fact that you have periodic elections.
If, however, you truly believe what you have is democracy, then you need to read up on what true democratic principles entail.
Good, honest, Indians are truly worried for their country and democracy within it.
If you could comprehend the logical conclusion of what is unfolding in India you would be too.
