If your country is importing the design, engine, radar, weapons, ejection seat, avionics, and every major piece of the LCA and yet not able to convince your military to induct this plane even after almost 30 years of work; what gives you the right to criticize a plane that is a joint development and already flies with not just multiple squadrons of PAF but even exported to other countries? Where does this attitude come from?

Check this about PAC Kamra, spread over 10 sq.miles and now going on with expansion with Aviation City and more...about 10,000 people work in just one area of PAC Kamra...there are other facilities beyond this area.

We dont need a fighter aircraft to bomb our own people. And our radar network is more than enough to keep our LOC under surveillance.Enough said.

Alot can be said on paper on how the two fighter jets will fare against each other, but I don't think you can derive concrete, black & white results out of it. The thing to consider with JF-17 is that it has been inducted in mass numbers, has been used in real bombing missions against the TTP, has been used in exercises extensively against established platforms and has performed well. Add to that, it already has it's first kill under it's belt, the export orders for the jet have already been confirmed. At the end of the day, the effectiveness of a platform comes down to how it's used, and since PAF have alot more experience using the JFT compared to the IAF with LCA, currently the edge has to go with the PAF and the JFT.

MKI's are not used for bombing our own territory. if militants have hide outs in your own country, then this is your army's problem. Using air force for this purpose means, your army is reluctant to take chances even inside your own country.

Infact, IAF is not even used against Maoist unless, you have to rescue.

No doubt, shooting down a UAV has raised rank of PAF.

Well we can detect it...and can shoot it down..no need any aircraft up there always. And this is a thread of LCA vs JF 17. I think you can create a new thread to discuss it.

Well going by your logic, Kargil is said to be inside Indian territory, the location of bunkers would have been well known to the Indian army, yet both the IA and IAF failed until some merciful help arrived from far away.
As for UAV kill, believe me the shooter is not even known unlike the Agni Pankh, which went as far as awarding a Fulcrum pilot....thinking he locked an F-16 from within India.
