HAL converts jet trainer aircraft into combat-ready Hawk-I

india made products are often more expensive and reduced in specifications in comparison to western counterparts available in the arms market.

it has always been this way since the past and may not change in the future.

Sir let us make a beginning inferior or superior later. Let us at-lest start making and using home grown products.

So I guess that's an admission that you can't substantiate your claim? At least have the integrity to state so plainly.

In future, be careful about making wild boasts. Someone might politely ask you to substantiate them -and then what will you do, other than the handwaving that you are performing now? :)
Really? Is that all you can do?

Indias export is around 200 million as of now!

Pakistan weapons export crossed the 300 million mark back in 2008-9!
And hope to cross 1 billion dollar export Mari by 2018!

Do the bloody math.

Shhh and stop your useless antics and whataboutery now.

You've already got your answer.

LOL. Do you know what "Eyes" means?

Anyway there were no "what about" statements from me.

My request was simple and straightforward - substantiate your claim that Pakistan exports a 1000 times more than India.

Your subsequent handwaving has demonstrated your inability to substantiate your boasts. Adieu.

Arun Jaitley, Defence Minister, inspects the indigenously upgraded Hawk-i and LCH production unit, at HAL, in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Union Defence Minister Arun Jaitley launched several new schemes and infrastructure projects across three of the country’s biggest defence public sector undertakings in the State on Saturday.

At Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, he launched the production of the twin-engine light combat helicopter (LCH) which features a narrow fuselage and tandem configuration for pilot/co-pilot or weapons system operator. Mr. Jaitley also dedicated the weaponised and upgraded Hawk-i (India), jet trainer aircraft, to the nation.

The Hawk-i, upgraded with indigenously designed avionics and other upgrades that make it a combat-ready platform, marks a departure for HAL from the conventional process of developing weapons based on the requirements of India’s armed forces

ISLAMABAD, July 17: Pakistan’s defence exports have tripled to around $300 million because of the quality of its ammunition, anti-tank guided missiles, rocket launchers and shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles.

“Our defence exports have been rising substantially because the arms and ammunition we manufacture meet international standards,” Maj-Gen Mohammad Farooq, Director General of the Defence Export Promotion Organisation (Depo), told Dawn.

Pakistan's defence exports have tripled to around $300 million due to increased sales of arms and ammunition to countries in South Asia, West Asia and Africa, a senior military official has said.

Among the items being exported are ammunition, anti-tank guided missiles, rocket launchers and shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles.

"Our defence exports have been rising substantially because the arms and ammunition we manufacture meet international standards," Maj Gen Mohammad Farooq, Director General of the Defence Export Promotion Organisation, said.

"We even won a contract in the face of tough competition from developed countries to manufacture parts of Boeing aircraft," Farooq told the Dawn newspaper.

Farooq said the value of arms exports had tripled and this was "very good for Pakistan". Arms trade was a complex business and it had to be conducted on a government-to-government basis.

Pakistan is answerable to the world community in terms of ensuring that the weapons do not fall into the wrong hands, he said.

Exports to countries in South Asia, West Asia and Africa had "increased significantly", he said.

dud ammo issue i have no clue about but i wont be surprised to find it.

only thing i am saying is india spends too much some time out of budget to get its top notch machines. thrn you realise you cant afford maintenance and life cycle expenses. but still they have some damn good equipemnts.

anyways peace out.
