Hafiz Saeed blames India for floods in Pakistan's Punjab, says it's an act of war

India Today – August 17, 2013

The chairman of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Hafiz Muhammad Saeed on Saturday strove to incite passions against India on social networking site Twitter. Tweeting about the recent floods in Pakistan's Punjab, Hafiz Saeed blamed India for the floods and said that India had declared war against Pakistan.

He further said that Pakistan's agriculture was being destroyed by the floods that had been caused due to the waters being released from Indian dams into Pakistan. At the same time, he called upon the people and asked them to reach out to as many people as possible and help them. He also lauded the Pakistan Punjab chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his government's efforts to provide succour to the affected people. About a week ago, Hafiz Saeed had threatened terror strikes in Delhi. That, however, was quickly denied by the JuD leaving security experts here wondering if the 26/11 mastermind was having second thoughts about terror mongering at a time when the Nawaz Sharif government in Pakistan was aiming for peace talks with India.

He is a funny guy... when India stops water he wants to blow up the dams and when India releases water he cries- by his logic Pakistan should build dams for India.

A. India steal water from Pakistan
or
B. India floods Pakistan

Pick your choice and be clear first.

Well India is doing both in Bangladesh. Strange that Bangladesh and Pakistan appear to have the same complaints about India river management and control ...

Instead of whining both Pakistan & Bangladesh should build their own dams and have a proper flood management system. As for the floods we are also suffering from large scale floods during this monsoon.

Yes since India is the upper riparian it has no responsibility to other countries in the region. I guess that is why India doesn't whine when the Chinese do the same thing to it ...

IWT is working fine. Saeed is just making fool out of Pakistani masses for his bread/butter thats all.
btw I believe BD deserves water treaty. BD fulfilled their commitment, it is shame our union government is stuck in petty politics with state government and not fulfilling the agreement. it is a matter of our national credibility
