Hadiqa Kiani Sues British Website Over Defamation Charges!

Famed Pakistani singer Hadiqa Kiani has sued a British website, with charges of defamation. The site, called Metro-UK, had previously posted fake news regarding Kiani’s arrest at Heathrow Airport.
After filing a petition in court, Kiani stated that the news was meant to defame her as a singer and to portray a negative image of Pakistan.
The website has actually said that Hadiqa has been arrested on the charges of smuggling two kilograms of cocaine at London’s Heathrow airport. The news report also said that she has been given into the custody of Port police authority.
However, Kiani had slammed the media who were publishing the news without any confirmation, as she was in Lahore at the time.
