Gyari sector recovery operation to restart

Hi,

I wish that FOOL could rather take care of the LIVING as he wants to take care of the dead. My countrymen are truly pathetic---when it comes to the apathy----you would rather be dead than alive----you would have more sympathizers and welwishers if you were alive.

A nation which is all show---.

Knowing you for the better part of the past decade - you would've cribbed even if he declared "We can't get our men out, its too dangerous".

I'm sure you've been told this before by many other people - "aap kisi haal main khush nahi honay walay".

Recovery operations are important for the living too. It will send a demoralizing message ot not recover these bodies.

A Jasde Khaki of a Gayari Shaheed was recovered today afternoon. A total of 122 Jasde Khaki of Shuhada have been recovered so far. Today first body of a shaheed was recovered after resumption of Gayari search operation.

It may be recalled that on 7 April 2012, 140 soldiers and civilians of 6 Northern Light Infantry Battalion came under a huge snow slide at Gyari and embraced shahadat.121 x bodies of Shuhada were recovered before suspension of Operation Gyari due to winters on 27 November 2012.

After opening of weather and melting of snow, search for remaining 19 x Shuhada commenced on 15 April,2013 by employing 228 x military personnel and 29 x heavy engineering equipment pieces including excavators, dozers and drill machines. It is once again reiterated that these sustained efforts would continue till recovery of last man.

Yup two wrongs don't make a right, I am not suggesting in anyway that this operation be halted. As for naivety, Musharraf the COAS allowed a foreign nation to conduct operations within Pakistan. In early days the drones were being launched FROM Pakistani basis. Today PA accepts that civilians are being killed along with terrorists. I find the whole affair extremely disturbing and I consider any person who became a part of this arrangement a traitor. PA should not expect a common Pakistani to overlook this gross (and absolute, in a sense) violation of Pakistan's sovereignty.

Again, I agree that the PA and Musharraf must answer for this, but that has nothing to do with the Gyari recovery operation.

Body recovered from Gayari

RAWALPINDI: A dead body of a Gayari Shaheed was recovered on Sunday after resumption of search operations, according to an ISPR press release. The total number of bodies recovered so far is 122. It may be recalled that on April 7, 2012, 140 soldiers and 6 civilians of Northern Light Infantry Battalion came under an avalanche at Gayari and embraced martyrdom. 121 bodies of Shuhada were recovered before suspension of Operation Gayari due to winter on November 27, 2012.
