arab countries are not properly trained to fly f15 properly and in combat with good airforce they will lose many fighter jets so f35 will not help them much as they not know how to properly fly this jet in combat and will lose them so it is better they develop their own fighterjet and focus on proper training first instead of wasting money on 5gen jets

We had an agreement with the US and it doesn't include something like " F-35 buyers can't buy S-400 ". We ordered 100+ fighter. Us tried to use it as leverage if Turkey acts against their benefits. Turkey won't accept this as an independent country. Either they will give us our jets or our invested money on F35s. Simple as that. And they will not give them so we will take our money back.

Lot's of things happened and changed till the F35 program started. Now it's clearer that the US will always use it as a card, which is unacceptable. I can't imagine a better way to get out of this.

It’s called getting leverage. What do you expect him to say? He is upholding Turkeys right to the deal.

Also turkey has received enormous ToT to manufacture the parts for f35. So not only will they get back all money owed, they will sit with invaluable tech asset.
It would not be out of expectations if turkey and Russia went ahead for a joint fighter project if and when f35 is out of the discussion and turkey will have a lot to offer in such venture.

Turkey don't have war with other countries that made f-35 an urgent need . they also claim they are building their own airplane that somehow share similar feature as F-35 . wonder why not get the money back and then invest it in their own design ?

i read carefully , 5 boring pages of it , not a word on turkey . You would really have to come up with something better than that to prove your claim.

In the meantime i suggest you would stop saying " Turkey exit F35 " .

Turkey did not exit anything,

The right words would be turkey was :

Kicked of , ditched , dropped , junked or dumped from the F-35 program.

And that is despite Ergodan begging the US to stay on the F-35 program.

If you want to claim anything else , despite all evidence to the contrary , kindly provide a source to support your claim,

If they really wanted the plane, they would not choose s400 over it. At least they would wait with the s400 until they received the last of the 100 f35s. They did not want the plane, it’s that simple

I do not buy that this huge piece of metal causing so much distortion in the atmosphere cannot be tracked when flocks of birds can be tracked. Something isnt quite right

There is much more to fifth generation fighters than stealth. It is a whole new concept of flying and fighting.

That is why it is called fifth generation fighters.

From what i understood there are two main elements in fifth generation fighters.

The first all like to talk about is the stealth . But the second is integrated avionics. This is a compliantly different approach to flying. There is a reason why is is called fifth generation. When the a jump in Generation means stuff like moving from piston to jet engines , from sonic to super sonic one can understand it means a significant change.

It also means completely different doctrine of fighting. The pilot spends a lot less time flying the plane and has more time to operate the advanced n systems.

The plane is also build to host the most advanced systems.

Of course one can argue that you can mount those systems also on a forth generation fighter. But differences between the f-35 are build in. It would still be a forth generation fighter.
