the problem is not related to giving cheap electricity but lack of industry benefiting from it ,if granting subsidy increases industrial growth then this loss can be compensated by inflow of dollars resulting from exports and will be much more beneficial in long run as it increases gdp and employment but reducing circular debt on dictation of imf destroys economy as happening now when sugar and wheat mafia has benefited from subsidies in recent months

Yeah and artificially making electricity cheap has landed us in 2 trillion Rs circular debt

Well the tariff for lesco is 19PKR for units consumed above 700. I have 22K for doing around 950 units. If you were expecting PTI to reduce the power tariff to 10PKR; you haven't managed your expectations well.

Pakistan lack of export growth is not due to insufficient electricity. Real cause is the most expensive electricity production in the region. And on top of that: import (consumption) led growth model.

Reducing circular debt is the demand of IMF for continuing 6 billion USD aid program. Economy is already destroyed by these extremely expensive and unsustainable electricity contracts by the previous govts.
