Govt plans to induct experts into ministries, likely to ruffle feathers

Do you think we have it well here? I bet you do cause all you've seen is the inside of your well. You think everywhere is heaven but Pakistan is hell, yet you arent aware how everyone here is in dept. Every person in the west has dept, they spend their lives paying it off and working their arses off. All while still paying taxes. So you can pay taxes if you can afford to have internet. Again, shame on you

well i was making 5 dollars by delivering the toronto star,in 1 meter snow,in Gloucester,am sure u know where that is in ontario ottawa.......imagine a 13 yrs old in 1 meter snow..

i have seen every hole in the well --------and pakistan is my paradise,no matter wht

When i feel down i feel the same way. The truth is though - revolution will deliver nothing. Look where it has happened. All the thieving elite class fled with their wealth, the people fought amongst themselves, warlords willing to favour external influencers took over - creating a new elite class.

Change will come through people like us. It will take 1 shop, 1 wholesaler, with the courage not to participate in speculative pricing. It'll take 1 shop to have compettive fixed prices. It'll take 1 resturant to have world class health and hygiene standards, it'll take 1 office to put employees ahead of immediate profit maximisation. It'll spread. If @Hiraa has a rubbish gym manager, then maybe someone will create a gym with excellent management.

One by one we'll create a better standard, we'll create an expectation and suddenly the market will re-baseline at that new standard. If you can get a careem or an uber cheaper than a local taxi, honestly who takes a local taxi? Nobody. If you can get a top quality Airbnb who books into a 3 star hotel? If you can trust your sabzi wala to deliver produce to your door of the same quality you'd have hand picked yourself - who needs to go to the market?

At some point this population will elect an MNA or someone else who they will hold to a high standard. If that person fails to deliver, they'll only elect someone else who will uphold the same standard. That is how change will happen.
we have become moraly corrupt and our people have this slave mentality and we actually bow down to rich and powerful we dont have balls to question them our masure of success is wealth and money and to become equal we dont care about halal or haram or right or wrong we just go to every length to make as much money as we can either by cheating lying hoarding price manupilation and its not just big cities its its everywhere in Pakistan and this problem is not associated with a certain segment of society its not just elites or politicians or ganrails everyone marra marri hai sab ko! and then with such fked up standards we expect to have good leaders good honest rulers thats impossible so the only thing that can change this choatic society is more chaos blood will be shed lives will be lost innocent will die and then from this chaos emerge a new society that will have learned its lesson hopefully and will make sure that land is for the people ruled by the people according to principles of Islam!!

and we are very near that path!!

our egoistic selfish leaders dont care about us there is this growing frustration in people, people feel like cockroaches, people feel like they are some animals this needs to change and if chnages doesnt come soon choas will bring that change!! and when people will demand their rights ganrails will roll in tanks and murder everyone in their path to protect what this sham democracy this system to not protect people but protect their power if MaslihatHQ was really smart they would have stopped breeding evil minions and stop protecting these bastards long time back and would have worked on creating a just society!!

for the people ruled by the people accordijg to rules of Islam thats the real riyasat e madina not this elitist system we live in today!!

IK who i voted for who i protested for in 2013 has failed us i know he cant transfrom this country in 1 day but even after all the pressures i am sure he can take one step in the right direction the least he could have done is spend more on education and health but both sectors we neglected infact they lowered spending on education and health!!

khair may Allah protect us all and may we see a united Pakistan where people are rulers and not individuals!

That is illegal and punishable by law. Who did you work for?

Finally some positive strutrual changes. However, I highly doubt that any competent person could be hired from market at a meager salary of 700,000.

May be someone join for a greater cause otherwise CEOs of even small companies are getting above then 700K.

CEO's are hardly 'Technical'. The positions will require explicit technical expertise and skills.

First we have to kill this CSS induction system. CSS is root cause of this corrupt bureaucracy

Instead of killing the CSS system, it needs to be updated. CSS examination needs to ensure that area wise expertise is acquired during induction instead of jack of all master of none (and usually jackshit of none and master of absolutely none). Furthermore, the recruits need to be groomed in their future roles as opposed to the current practice of transfer/posting after every 3-5 years. And.........it needs to be ensured that useless certifications and degrees are merely for own growth and not to meet the eligibility criteria for competitive recruitment (such as MS in Urdu literature etc.)

No offense but 3 million or so over seas Pakistani send 24 billion while 220 million Pakistanis export only 2 0 billion worth products. Majority of which is bought by over seas Pakistanis.

Sad reality.

It is because those 3 million (have no idea if you are correct with that figure) have to support the families they have left behind in Pakistan; it is not as if they send money for the love of the country!

Further, those families usually eat products produced in Pakistan by Pakistanis. Whereas Pakistanis in Pakistan are largely producing for self consumption but will export more and more once the policies and economy are corrected.

Of course the UK imports vegetables, labour is expensive, it's limited to 1 growing season. In Pakistan we are blessed with multiple growing seasons, cheap labour, why are we importing vegetables? Why are local producers not ruthlessly exploiting these opportunities?

90% of Pakistani's I know who have moved abroad have become a success. The shortcoming is not in the people, it is in the culture and the environment. Pakistan should be bending over backwards to accomodate people who have these experiences and changed attitudes. In their own capacity these people can bring about change.

I give you 1 simple example. Azad Chaiwalla - born in Pakistan, eventually went to the UK, has businesses in the UK, Dubai and Pakistan. Currently based in Mirpur AJK creating a college to teach people skills and encourage entrepreneurial approach to business. The people who graduate from his short courses won't look for government jobs, they'll be earning their own money, creating thier own opportunities. He is 1 man doing a small bit, but he's a gem. At a time where our youth don't have professional skills, he's seen an opportunity and exploited it. He'll be making money from these courses.

There are thousands of smaller example, look how many tech startups have Pakistanis who have been abroad involved with them. I suggest you go abroad - look at how hard the world works, how innovative it is.

China became what it is because it sent thousands abroad every year to get PhD's and then bring that knowledge back to China. They then created an environment for them to succeed.

How many overseas Pakistanis would be willing to come back to their country, to serve their country and get paid the salary of a Deputy/Joint/Additional Secretary? How many overseas Pakistanis would be willing to serve Pakistan in the Salary Scale of BPS, even Grade-22? Put yourself in the shoes of the Bureaucrats and then make judgement; from overseas, everything appears to be an easy fix in Pakistan.

The whole nation needs overhauling. My gym branch manager is so f**king unprofessional that I don’t need to wonder how the rest of bureaucrats are. Incompetent, ethicless and have no morals or values.

Your Gym manager is a bureaucrat????

bangladesh never got the benefits of martial law-

But they have a dictator kinda govt. Will always prefer martial law over dictator hanging opponents left right and center.

Correct, they are sending it back to their families and not just out of love of their country. But that was not my point. Read the context which my post was response to.

Pakistanis in the west search and prefer Pakistani products, while Pakistanis in Pakistan search and prefer imported maal. This is fact and a person who denies it is either lying or living in his own world.

Your Gym manager is a bureaucrat????

Could be... Maybe getting oper ki kamai and established a side business.

What is a grade-22 salary? Are these accurate? https://www.careermidway.com/blog/what-is-salary-of-government-employees-in-pakistan-46

Honestly looking at that table i can understand why there is so much corruption. Those salaries should be doubled. Having said that - nobody is forcing anyone to do these jobs - if it doesn't make you enough money, go sell bun kebabs of biryani.

Best of luck finding a technical person in 700000 that can run a government level organization ... for example shabbar zaidi was earning more than 5 million a month.

Killing, upgrdaing overhaul whatever term you use. The current system is obsolete and needs to be changed in its entirety not by just coametic changes
