PM should announce this after election or would have declare it earlier ..just announcing before election will create problems I think...
Any how mere announcement can't make it happen unless with two third majority constitution is changed .. I might be wrong but this is my understanding..
Also will.it not affect kashmir cause ?

Gilgit-Baltistan is not Kashmir and the people there are not Kashmiris.

But now it will be in every international forum.... due to treasonous follies of Imran Khan, to say the least.

It was very strategic issue and i don't expect this chepaster to have any grasp of strategic matters.

He thought if he can force IG to report to DPO, and appoint Buzdar as CM of Punjab, he can also decide on strategic issues without any eybrow being raised.

As per the submission made by Pakistan to UN in 1948 ..GB is a part of Kashmir.

I don't know this, but GB has always been part of NWFP, ever since 1947.
It cannot even be quoted independent of NWFP.
Kashmir is Jammu & Kashmir in full.

Pakistan accepted that GB (Northern areas at that time )..is a part of state of Jammu and Kashmir and is a disputed territory.

Believing that, when plebescite occours ..votes from Northern areas will swing the total vote in the favour Pakistan and Pakistan will get the whole state of J&k.

Since then GB is a part of Jammu & Kashmir as per UN resolutions.

And if Pakistan adheres to it's 70 year long stand ..that J&k is disputed.. because of UN resolutions ..then GB is also disputed and can not become a sovereign Territory of Pakistan.

However if Pakistan proceedes with declaring GB as 5th province of Pakistan..then it's has to abandon it's stand.

As Pakistan can not claim, portion of J&k is a sovereign part of Pakistan where as rest of J&k is disputed.

Dear Paramilitary forces are deployed on international boarders during peace time only. LoC in AJK and GB is defended by regular troops of Pakistan Army. Paramilitary force of GB is GB Scouts. If required, Ministry of Interior can deploy Rangers (Punjab/ Sindh) FC (KP/ Balochistan) or Frontier constabulary whatever is required.

Modus operandi is you create an order and the order will itself push PPP. Anything else is just bullshit and has consequences on the external affairs policy

Ohh I have seen KT interview. .that is why I know either your leaders are giving this "GB will become 5th province" churan to your own population or they will have to abandon their 70 year old stance..of J&K being disputed.

Because a territory can not be both disputed as well sovereign part of a country.
