Good: Pakistani Mangoes in Germany

I bought yesterday two cartons of fresh mangoes from a close Pakistani shop.

Price: 5.50 euro per carton

Quality: very good

In Germany there is a market for exotic fruits and products.

So why not shipping more diverse products from Pakistan?

It says "gift" on the mango.

But the mangoes look amazing though, should be juicy and sweet and all. Probably the best quality there is...

Yes it tastes really good. Sweet but not too sweet. So ok.

Sufaid Chaunsa is generally considered the King among Pakistani Mangos Cut and slice varieties (Sindhri comes in second) and AnwerAtol is the top dog among the squish and gulp (Doseri comes in second).

I have no words to describe my love of both Chaunsa and AnwerAtol.

You are right. We have strawberries, lychees, watermelons and what not. but not a lot of people know about these exports.

We tried, didnt work.
We are also growing red grapes for 3 years now. My parents love them and i hate the bales. Havent bought a single grape in 3 years and are also the suppliers of neighbors lol.

PS: Its commonly spoken as Rathore here although the correct word is Ratol i think.

We always heard Rattol in the local markets in Pakistan

I think depends on the Pakistani community and also the city. London is generally an expensive city

The photographs, shown in your post, are of "Sindhrhi" variety, commonly considered to be fourth in the ranking of taste/flavor. You must try also "Anwer Ratol", "Chaunsa" and "Dausehri" varieties.

i dont think peoples in the west know how to properly eat anwar ratol and chaunsa.

I personally find Sindhrhi the best and Chaunsa the 2nd best.

i dont eat mango that have dull yellowish inner flesh .

My kids were saying, baba bought fake mangoes.

I do buy only Pakistani, but to see Mangoes in winter, I said lets give it a try. Failed experiment.

Jamun are great after Mangoes, but...they are very sensitive & rot fast.

I bought some the other day from Pakistan Supermarket & the next day I noticed a yellowish worm in the plastic bag.
