Iran quits nuclear talks protesting US blacklist move - DAWN.COM

TEHRAN: Iran has quit nuclear talks with world powers, accusing Washington on Friday of going against the spirit of a landmark agreement reached last month by expanding its sanctions blacklist.

US Secretary of State John Kerry and a spokesman for EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, who represents the major powers in the talks, both played down the suspension and said talks were expected to resume soon.

But Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi said the US move went against the spirit of the deal struck in Geneva under which the powers undertook to impose no further sanctions for six months in exchange for Iran curbing its controversial nuclear activities.

I know my dears, the American "treachery" few months ago broke a lot of hearts and busted a lot of bladders. All those jets et flights from Tel Aviv/ Riyadh to US , Europe, Russia, all those rants and threats regarding Iran almost seemed to go to naught when Americans & Persians pulled out the "peace rabbit" out of the hat.

Netanyahu was distraught, Prince Bunder Bin Sultan was enraged (Sauis even missing UN meeting in protest) they both held meetings to turn this around and seems that has worked out.

the FSA cannibals & butchers in Syria will also get a new lease of life, lately they also went on the back burner due to the brokenhearted financiers.

the likelihood of Uncle Sam going to war on the bidding of its "Allies" has increased. now who is right and who is wrong, who is to blame and who is to praise?

Iran is a taqqiya practicing terrorist state. The IAEA said iran was continuing with enrichment, nothing had changed. They are devious professional liars. Nothing iran does can be taken at face value.

of course, the peace offering was with a foot on its neck, Iran was going to gag very soon. I dont understand why Saudis & Israelis startd ranting already

americans are less likely to bomb anybody, in worst case they will be the facilitator (libya, syria)...
Iran is trying to drive a better bargain, this is a game of brinkmanship ... good luck iran...

I dare to hoop that Iranians are realizing that.

after the Ayatullahs hijacked the revolution and then executed thousands of left wing secular Iranians who were the forefront in bringing the Shah down....they started an ambitious campaign in east and west something which was not appropriated by the Arab states and then began the deadly circle of proxy wars that ranged from Africa, Arab Peninsula, to south and far east Asia.

I agree with you that the Ayatullahs of Iran are as reasonable and open to debate as the taliban and their dethroning from Iran is essential but thats something which will be decided by the Iranians (not just the urban class of Ipod users) and thats where my opposition stops, I have no say to their faith and sect and I hope my fellow members dont base their animosity on the bases of faith.
