These idiots are out there to die but our forces were able to contain them in a certain parameter so yes this is a success!

Put these maniacs against any security force and they will carry out similar or worse attacks. Lets not forget the attack on the Indian Parliament and the 7/11 attacks in the UK.

Hats off to our armed forces who fight and stop these maniacs from missions.

Actually they must be aware that they are going for death. So, nothing like success in containing.

What they done was impossible to stop atleast in countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afgan or BD. This attacks are pretty easy in our countries.

Depends on the perspective from which you think. If they had been able to go inside & spread more death & destruction, then yes a failure. Containing them & stopping them at the start, at the first check post, that's a success.

Do keep in mind, they were wearing military uniforms in a van with army marking which looked exactly as the vans used by the army.

And that is what making situation more complex for security forces there... Capturing these terrorists alive is also necessary but what you are saying is also critically important; lives of hostages.

if we can learn who armed and trained them it will be invaluable. But to me the most important thing is to end the hostage situation. Non lethal gunfire and concussion grenades should be used. It's dark now and all lights are switched off.

Better yet, all sale of military fatigues should be made illegal in Pakistan. Under the law, one cannot impersonate military personnel. Extend this law to those who sell this stuff at the Landay bazaar etc.

Why should people be allowed to buy the camouflage stuff?

This should be part of the effort to clamp down on militancy and disarming..

Caught in cross fire is more likely. But I may be wrong. These things will be cleared after operation accomplished.
