i think its time for us as nation to realize that these extremists are existential threat. they have paralyzed the nation. look at our economy and image in the world. but sorry to say there are still sympathizers for them. its easy to blame america or india but hard to look into ourselves. we have been blaming india quite often for the Taliban support but personally i find it hard to believe that india would benefit from pakistan being in civil war or in the hands of extremists. we should also not be selective about these terrorists. almost all of them have the same radical ideology. its time we should cleanse our society from all the fundamentalists if we want a strong Pakistan. if Pakistan shows leniency even after this brazen attack then i have no hope.
The need of the hour is to go on the offnesive against ALL enemies of Pakistan.
Questions we need to ask:
1. How are the terrorists sustaining themselves ?
Possible answer is that they have local backing but also they have financers in other countrues. We need to eliminate all wihtout exceptions.
2. Where are weapons and explosives that the terrorists are using coming from ?
We know that US made weapons are avaiable in Peshawar's bara market so these weapons are defintly coming across from Afghanistan. How are these ending up in Pakistan we need to find out.
There are arms made in darra adam khel so thats the local link but where are the explosives coming from ?
3. Where is the money coming from ?
The Afghan govenemnt is doling out much of the aid money it got to destablize Pakistan , this is the least talked about source of terrorist financing. Our neighbour from the east is also providing 'development aid' via an unsually large number of consulates along the pak-afghan border and without a doubt they are financing terrorist activities in Pakistan. Iran has stakes in Afghanistan and some iranophiles hate Pakistan more than anything. We have unfortuantly a lot of ill wishers
4. Where is human resource for comitting such acts coming from ?
The human resource is mostly local with some from Arab countries and some from cenrtal asia , we are pounding them but we need to do a lot more about the above 3 questions to bring about closure to the terrorist activities in Pakistan.
