Germany to promote automobile companies’ share in Pakistani market

No one impliment checks on emission in Pakistan, not even Euro II, and same is in India.

Dont be crazy. India has a Bharat Stage IV (Euro 4) emission standards across Delhi NCR and 10+ cities which in its current form is inadequate and as a result we are introducing Bharat Stage V before 2017 covering entire nation. Stringent works are underway.

No, its strictly tested when manufactured, India follows Euro IV for metros and Euro III for rest of India.
But after purchasing no guarantee as people are lazy for regular maintenance.

Sir I mean checks on road not while manufacturing .
We have compulsory check after every two years, plus random checks by police on road in Germany.

A Euro II or any other engine will not give same emission throughout the lifecycle.

Also for @AMCA

I think car manufacturers like Renault and Geely (Although Geely tried once) must enter Pakistan. About VW, I am not sure keeping in mind the prices and expensive servicing.

Yes , thats why I am saying that after service no guarantee,
In India also have pollution check regularly but due to corruption its a money making thing for RTO, now GOI is procuring digital pollution checking equipment to curb this as awareness for air pollution is rising.

Of course, laws are every where but thing is to implement these.

Once CPEC operational ecnomic and enery potential increase and stability in our decisions and mindsets will not only germany all automobiles will invezt in pak just need to keep head straight

In 6 month it would be strict in metros but in rural areas take some time.
One more thing, you might know that but many are unaware.
That white fog in India and Pakistan during winters is actually smog. People think it's due to weather but it's the pollution in the area.

No doubt about it.

Our auto policy is skewed yet at the same time, is absolutely necessary. It is a worrying paradox. Although vehicles are priced much higher than the global average owing to exorbitant taxes and import tariffs, Pakistan retains one of the highest automobile ownership rates in the region which means greater load on government infrastructure and an enormous loss to the national balance of export in terms of fuel imports.
I can only imagine what the situation will be like if the duty, almost 200% in some cases, is revised, there will be so many cars on the roads that we will just be stuck in traffic jams and go nowhere all day.

.
We should start the "Make in Pakistan " campaign
