I hope Bangladesh continues on this path so that it can deal with Myanmar beligerence once and for all.

But my point is people get bogged down in discussion about 1947 and other times repeatedly while in front of our eyes Myanmar is carrying out genocide, murder and rape of our fellow community.

This issue should transcend all the historical issues and Pak, Saudi everyone should sort this out if possible and if not able to at least give moral support.

But there is not a single Rohingya article on here right now.

Only Turkey will help BD with Rohingya. Others like Pakistan and Saudi have different interests in the region.
It is BD responsibility at end of day and will for sure be resolved one day.

As far as I can recall, this figure of 3 Million was initially uttered by Sheikh Mujeeb Ur Rehman, himself and then this figure was officially adopted by BD. How it is possible that BD would adopt a figure other than that given by the Bangabandhu?

Saudi need Myanmar oil and gas pipelines to feed China.

Good progress, that you have come down from a figure of 3 Million to 300,000, by applying a factor of 1/10. Not a bad idea, if, in the next stage of analysis, you once again apply this factor, and come with a figure of 30,000. That will obviously be the end of this issue, from your side, as well. It hardly matters, what yours or anyone else's personal opinion is. The matters, between the states, are contested upon the basis of the narratives, they officially hold.

Think about it, the Serbs killed 5,000 Muslim males in 1993. Because of the evidence they were prosecuted at the UN War crimes tribunal at the Hague. Ever wondered why bangladesh has never submitted any evidence regarding PA atrocities in 1971, to the Hague?

Just a few observation.

1) My comment was a jest or pun, in a sarcastic sense. You have taken it seriously.
2) I have not at all referred to the Hamud Ur Rehman Commission Report. Why you are referring it, I don't know.
3) This issue has been settled, for all practical purposes; once the POWs were repatriated by India to Pakistan, consequent to certain settlements between India and Pakistan, as well as between Bangladesh and Pakistan. That is why, I said that this issue is a dead horse, as far as Pakistan and we are concerned.
4) States don't contest issues, on the basis of research articles, whether independent or otherwise, written by Tom, Dick or Harry.
5) Different states hold their opinions, on any issue, in light of their self interests and expediencies, not on any ethical or moral principles. That is why, they are often very divergent and also these opinions change with the changes in the global positioning.
6) At the end, you have again resorted to certain figure, like 0.5 - 1 Million, as arbitrary as the figures of 0.03 or 0.3 or 3.0 Millions, for that matter, which I am not contesting at all; since this all is not only controversial, but useless and irrelevant as well, except for some scholarly curiosity or investigations.
