Media reports emerged of recent meeting between Ismail Haniyeh and Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran​

Hamas on Thursday denied media reports that its political chief Ismail Haniyeh met with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran.

Media reports earlier emerged about a meeting between Haniyeh and Khamenei in the Iranian capital in recent days amid Israel’s ongoing military offensive on the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, Hamas said it regretted the “publication of unfounded news.”

The reports said the Iranian leader told Haniyeh that Tehran was not given prior notice of Hamas’ Oct. 7 cross-border attack on Israel, despite suspicions in the West that Iran had helped organize the attack.

According to the reports, Khamenei told Haniyeh that while Iran would offer political support to Hamas, it would not “intervene directly” in the fight.

The media reports also claimed that Khamenei asked Haniyeh to “silence those voices” in Hamas calling for Iran and the Lebanese group Hezbollah to directly join the war against Israel “in full force.” Iranian leaders are reportedly leery of the conflict escalating into a regional war.

There was no comment from Iranian authorities on the allegation.

Since when can you just walk into flight school like that and learn how to fly in six months ? What is this, like getting a concealed carry license ? Maybe it was true back then but it just seems suspicious.

Well according to you it was only Microsoft flight simulator and now suddenly going to flight school simply is not good enough? I guess they needed 10 years of experience to be able toss the pilot out of his chair and navigate the plane.

Remember they only had to know how to fly the plane, landing and taking off were not necessary.

They got first hand training in flying a plane (and even got licenses) and once they knew how planes worked they then started using flight simulator programs to learn how to fly specific planes.

This may be the wrong thread to debate this since there is enough evidence to fill encyclopedias. However, I’ll just say that I remember watching a TV interview of an instructor at the flight training school in Florida attended by the pilots. He said that the pilots took lessons on two-seat trainers and were extremely incompetent. That they could subsequently fly commercial jets and do maneuvers that are beyond the capacity of highly experienced pilots leaves one scratching their heads.

What more do you want?? The flight school isn't going to put them in a big 767.
No school does that. That's way too expensive to do single person training.

This plane likely costs 10's of thousands for a simple 1 hour flight.

The conspiracy story does exist.

My father knows Indonesian military who said to him that one of the hijacker of Woyla incident is actually Indonesian army (intelligent personnel). Despite there is one Indonesian army personnel among the hijacker, Indonesian Army special force (Kopassus) killed all of the hijackers. We dont have specialized anti terrorist group during that time showing terrorist activities are not something usual to happen during that period.

Man, if there is one Indonesian Army who knows the Islamist radical wanted to hijacked the plane, so they should have taken all of them before the hijacking is done by the radical.

What is the purpose ? It is to make our former President, Soeharto, afraid of Islamist power. Soeharto after having all of their powerful ministers come from Muslim, including the economists and military, ended up use many Catholics as our finance minister (BJ Sumarlin) and Central Bank (one of them is Andrianus Moy coming from Eastern Indonesian region) and also Catholic General as our Armed Force Commander (Benny Moerdani). Soeharto also banned Hijab for all civil servants, including in the military.

Creating a pretext to get some target is something that is already used in the past, even Indonesian master mind has already done it in 1980's to shot Islamist power.
