Regarding military capabilities, Egypt looks strong on paper but does their air force have long range air to air missiles, aesa radars, cutting edge jamming etc, it doesn't look like it, its as if their generals have been sleeping, Turkey is strong but doesn't possess long range ballistic and cruise missiles. Look at Israel, a small state with war winning technology.

Israel is very easy to strategically defeat: Sustained, cheap rockets fired for a long time from various locations. Hezbollah already showed a template for that in 2006. It is almost useless to talk about tanks or F16s in conflicts against Israel.

I think it is right , if the Israeli troops are encountering serious and professional resistance by Hamas mujahideen , this could take a while. And Israel is losing the international information war, badly.
It is starting to look like the Israeli government has a serious problem...
It is even possible this turns out like the 2006 Israeli-Hezbollah war, where many people expected Israel to crush Hezbollah and instead it was a battlefield stalemate and a major political victory for Hezbollah.

Hamas firing from Lebanon is the 'plausible denial' of Hezbollah involvement. But I hear Israeli generals are getting impatient giving Hezbollah relatively lighter response except the political leadership in Tel Aviv/Washington know Israel can't face a true two front war right now. They will go after Hezbollah in 1-5 years at most if/when Hamas is neutralized in Gaza.

Hezbollah is doing the right thing by not participating in this war. As much as it hurts to see massacre by Israelis in Gaza, Hezbollah needs to bide time and consolidate in Lebanon and Syria.

Hamas, should not have initiated this war. We know how Palestinians have to face having to bear the brunt of Zionist stealing their lands and killing their people on a daily basis. But when the odds are so heavily stacked against you, you bide your time. Hezbollah has shown that Israel is not invincible and can be defeated.

Now the Zionists have a free license to commit massacre under the watchful eye of US and its allies.
