Fully Kitted Thunder Touchdown after CAP

weight maybe an issue. every thing is competing for space and limited weight
so there will have to be a compromise for fuel or other weapons, gun ammo etc.
there was a statement by some paf officer at pac that this aircraft can take 4 bvr missiles but so far we are happy with two. if jft gets a better engine with lesser fuel requirement the jet may be able to carry 4 bvrs under the wings and single fuel tank under fuselage. pak needs equipping jft with better engine , PL15 missile and batter radar to counter rafale. we simply cant induct any new jet in next 5-10 so jft is the only option.

you are right
with better engine and reduced weight of the frame through use of composite materials.
the weapons, avionics, radars, sensors fuel tanks mission specific auxiliary pods etc will compete for that additional weight limit.

so weight and space will always be hotly competed and there will have to be a compromise for heavier better sensor or radar or an additional / bigger missile.

Harsh Reality is that the SAME IMF, which Bought pakistan says this about India :

NEW DELHI: India will further build its lead as the world’s fastest-growing major economy as it picks up pace next year while the global economy is forecast to slow, the International Monetary Fund said.

India’s GDP is forecast to expand 7.5% in FY20 and 7.7% in FY21. China’s growth is seen at 6.2% in both years.

“India’s economy is poised to pick up in 2019, benefiting from lower oil prices and a slower pace of monetary tightening than previously expected, as inflation pressur ..

Twin ejector rails are an option (if not already) for the 2 outer underwing hardpoints to increase to 4 AAMs + 2 wingtip AAMs and still keep the underwing drop tanks to main endurance.

But yeah, weight becomes the issue...

India will pounce Pakistan sooner or later and will be ready for long war, will push Pakistan towards nuclear threshold ...

Sad what politicians did to Pakiatan in last 30 years ... a decay just like ottoman decay ... in “economic quagmire”

U think it's a good idea to push an economically struggling country towards nuclear threshold???

Caz threshold may be far less than what u would expect....

It wont happen. India has relied on quantity rather than quality. Its has so many different platforms that it cannot sustain them. Its lines of communication are very long and quality orbits forces is poor. It will be left wanting just like it was in Feb this year.

Great. Those are helpful links. I'll try & read 'em if I ever suffer from Insomnia.

Could you please share a link from the Economic Times about your Commercial Aviation sector & how well its holding up these past few days. Any update on Jet Airways...

Disappointing. your point is valid, need to maximize JF17s. Even if dual racks are not loaded. get 2 more SD10 on third pylons on each wing :S
reduce range and loitering time (time to stay in air) @maverick1977
I agree but you have to consider the ECcM and hit probability of a missile, it should be 6 to 8 AAM missile per plane ...
Its a light weight fighter jet not Medium weight/heavy weight fighter jet, with dual racks, its can carry 4 BVR but dual racks increases drag, hence the range @maverick1977
you are right, last PAF incursion was with 24 aircraft? can someone confirm. if so what was their breakdown.
Indian version of good bed time story, according to DGISPR from day 1 our strike package consist 12 in total 6 JF-17s and Mirage-5 @maverick1977
This sucks! 4 AAM per plane and are fully armed ?

Most fighter jets ( heavy/Medium) rarely used 6-8 BVR in combat because they have drag/range plenty with this payloads @maverick1977
