Air conditioning unit of that coach malfunctioned. Here is the official statement:

A spokesperson said, "Out of 16 trains in service, one of the train's airconditioning unit reportedly malfunctioned during a heavy shower. The train was replaced with a standby train to ensure no impact on services. The affected train shall join the regular service tomorrow.

What's funny is that the neighbours are having a field day over a (now-rectified) technical snag in a SINGLE carriage in one of the region's most modern metro services.

Very good. So the problem is related to one coach.

It's not an India bashing thread, the news just make me a smile little and just for fun I post it here, Pakistan subway in papers now hope it's completed in next century lol.

It is Alright,it is just a leakage problem in one of the coaches . I know there is no metro in Pakistan, But Pakistan should invest in Metros,better then motor transport.The advantages r many,it is cheap,cost effective,no pollution.My entire family liked it.

Waise there is another beautiful Hindi song from the film 1942 A love Story(Anil Kapoor,Manisha Koirala) written by Javed Akhtar & sung by Kumar Shanu

Nopes, the "Made in China" problem. Delhi Metro did great by importing the coaches from Europe and Japan only. Reliance has definitely compromised with quality for profit.
