What's new

Free Shower in Mumbai Metro

A brand new train and the ACs have already started malfunctioning? :woot:

Oh yeah! So what's new? :P

But again why they didnt contracted the BEML or Bombardier. Read this

BEML bags Delhi Metro order | Business Standard News
BEML to roll out coaches for Jaipur Metro too | Business Line

I dont know why they going Chinese, when Bombardier has a manufacturing and well developed Assembly line in Gujarat. Even this problem never occurred in Namma Metro, you know who delivered the rolling stock and coaches for that. Even rain problem is in Banglore and Delhi also.

To blame on china product is not good thing.....Remember they are world class in high speed, metro railways and have very vast experience. its just a technical issue and may occur anywhere. lets see it like that only....

Problem in Delhi Metro train; commuters stranded | Business Line

It is not just about what they have or what they not, we are not in competition. But when you have a manufacturing capability and other one has a assembly, and parts manufacturing capability, then why go foreign? . I think L&T is much better than Reliance, you know the fate of Delhi Airport Line? What they did there? And no one blaming Chinese, I am actually blaming Reliance.

.
I think when you grant a contract, it upto that company to provide the assembly procedure and assemble it in India.

BTW, I dont know why they didnt given contract to BEML, which already provide the broad gauge rolling stock ( including from Bombardier for Phase 2), and now providing standard gauge rolling stock for Delhi Metro.
Import mall mein commission ka % in pocket ziyada hota hai!!! may b may b, well it's seems to be a technical fault during assembling.

I have serious question and I m no way making jokes here.

Where were these trains manufactured? This is a manufacturing fault. If its Chinese made, I can see this being a quality issue. You wont see such issues in European manufactured train cars.

This never happens here.

The train sets for line 1 are all fully imported straight from Chinaland.

Indian members should pause for a moment and think on their duplicity here. On the one hand, everybody is telling Pakistanis that it is just one small snag in one coach in one large metro system, which is true. On the other hand, everybody is taking digs at Chinese manufacturing quality and calling it junk. So which one is it - a small snag in an otherwise great, world class metro system, or a giant white elephant doomed to failure because of poor Chinese quality?

Yes, it is unfortunate that a technical snag allowed one of MM1's rail carriages to serve as a temporary shower curtain, and after this rather shocking failure so early on, I'm afraid we might see more such niggling issues popping up periodically; I sincerely hope I'm wrong about the aforementioned, though. I'm confident that MM1 will continue to function efficiently (as public transportation in Bombay always does) despite all odds, but I wish we had gone with locally manufactured train sets instead. The advantages of using locally manufactured high quality products far outweigh the import of the same from China. Anyway, what's done is done - let's pray that better sense prevails during the procurement of rolling stock for lines 2 and 3.

This is a teeth problem, this same issue's has happened with Cerita buses with the BEST mumbai ... bad move by reliance, they should have gone with metro's built in India by Bombardier

I wish for Phase 2 and 3, they go toward BEML or Bombardier.

Good Poetry. It is just 1 train out of 16 according to the latest report. I have traveled by Metro. It is very cool & awesome, really enjoyed.

By the way,is there any metro in Pakistan.

I think they have showers at home

The cars might be importing one but not assemble abroad, the assembling procedure done in India( I mean inside electricity and a/c or heating system ) I don't think it's just coz of china made, if it's happen only one car it's mean that technicians forget to lock sealing which joint the a/c or heating system.
LOL!
They are CBU's that were imported from China.

Bombay got the worst combo for Metro trains......Reliance and Veolia.

Kis ny kaha tha k 5 rupay kam ker do Cheen ka maal khareed k.

I have travelled by Metro Last week..My entire family liked it.It is fast, comfortable, pollution free.

This is first time, metro has been started in Bombay,If the Ac is not functioning,it can be rectified, not a big issue. About the water leakage,it is just one train out of 16 trains.

Are there any Metros in Pakistan

Guys stop blaming China they only make what you pay for. This selfish ambani is the one who's at fault

Duh...so that ambani brothers can slide half the project amount in their pockets. And give temporary happiness to people by giving inferior quality metro.

ON TOPIC: I think in this case management is at fault maybe they didn't adjust the outlet properly which caused the leakage.
