France has deployed an armoured task force to Poland for two months of training exercises with the Polish armed forces and other NATO allies as part of alliance reassurance measures in Eastern Europe.

France's deployment of Leclerc MBTs to Poland is designed to send a strong signal to Moscow as part of NATO reassurance measures in Eastern Europe. (F Lert)

The task force, the equivalent of a Sous groupement tactique Interarmées (SGTIA - joint services tactical subgroup), left France for Poland on 20 April.

The combined task force consists of 15 Leclerc main battle tanks (MBTs) from the 12ème Régiment de Cuirassiers, a platoon from the 16ème Bataillon de Chasseurs with four VBCI 8x8 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), and a platoon from the 13ème Régiment du Génie with three VABs and one EBG armoured engineering vehicle.

Just a suggestion, Zarvan mate :
maybe a consolidated thread would be in order concerned with all measures
taken by the West to allay Polish and Baltic States concerns over Russian aggression.

I thanked your above message but all would profit from a live running thread IMHoO.

Have a good day, Tay.

Ubique Primus ; Partout Premier et Ne Pas Subir ( à mon époque ).
"Everywhere first" / "Do not submit".

:azn:

Ah! 1er RHP where my adjutant came from at Canjuers and was daily hoping to get back to, LOL.
Belle unité, bravo!

And thanks for the good wishes, mec!
I just got back, all well except that I hate sitting still for a full day ( car, plane, bus etc ).

À demain, Tay.

yes leclerc looks futuristic but it is pure crap.

france never survived a real tank battle in their entire history, while Russians destroyed german tank force in Kursk battle.

LOL.
If Leclerc is crap, then what to say about russian tanks ?

original Russian Tanks like T-34, T55, T72, T90 and now Armata are the best of the best. Even better than german tanks.

the ones the west engaged in middle east are all replicas/kits and not original russian production models. they lack ERA, thermal sights, and many other things like netcentric communications and real time surveilance.

you have simply no clue how deadly russian tanks are for enemies of russia.

western fanboy

I'm pretty sure you compared all of them.
Also, the ratio of Russian tanks blown up or where we've seen the turret flying is definitely higher than Western's.

that is because the ERA was missing on the iraqi tanks. it was to expensive for saddam. instead he bought gold for himself and luxury.

without ERA all those poor iraqi soldier perished as the armor was penetrated from A10 thunderbold 30mm armor piercing rounds. With ERA those iraqi tanks had survived those attacks and killed more abrams tanks.

saddam sended his conscripts with blank training ammunition into the REAL WAR!!!!

hahaha

dumb westerners think they can kill superior russians. like arab wannabe powers.

hahahahahaha

iraqi T-55 replicas without ERA.
