What's new

Four Pakistani soldiers dead, eight missing after checkpoint attack

The terrorists must be culled. We need to establish a policy where anti national enemies are treated as the scum they are. Down with the Taliban

. .
Urban operations in areas like Jhang and South Punjab will need to be started. otherwise these FATA operations will be pointless.

there will be a video released from Afghanistan showing the execution of the abducted soldiers.
last time also the 17 soldiers were executed in Afghanistan.

Man it looks like FC are the usual sitting ducks. Are they under trained or under armed or what?

Yes still the main backbone of FC is undertrained and under armed, specially the poor guys at the Checkposts.

I agree with you in the first point.

And to the second comment, when they execute our Soldiers why there is still no law for execusing this bastards live in in PTV ?

answer is the Ch Iftikhaar Factor.
that scumbag and his supporters have personal grudge against Pakistan army and now they are helped by the ruling Sherif Party that also has its own axes to grind. so it will never ever happen. its Pakistan, the justice system (for its names sake) has resulted in the degradation of state of Pakistan and rise of TTP

Why doesnt Pakistan adopt a policy.

Taliban attacks Checkpoint, Pakistan launches 10 days of Airstrikes against Weapon Caches, Leaders, Safe-houses.
Taliban attacks base, Pakistan kills all the prisoners they get in the next 10 days of military operations.
Taliban attacks school/university/hospital, Pakistan puts captured prisoners on public trial for terrorism and firing squad.

No more tit for tat. Launch a policy of escalation. This is war, treat it like one.

You need a backbone to do that and our leadership lacks one.

OR is playing a double game. My dad always says that whenever Taliban send you a list of people they want to negotiate for, you should line those people in front of a firing squad ASAP.

A combination of both. Paramilitaries in both India and Pakistan are considerably under-armed than their army counterparts. The only exception is the Indian ITBP force which comprises roughly 30,000 men. They are manning the China border and hence equipped almost at par with Indian army light infantry regiments.

Both countries are dependent on man-power so they cannot divert more resources to paramilitary at the cost of their army.

Many hindrances to that policy.

1. Taliban controls pashtun areas. The pashtuns are present in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. The TTP won't house weapon cahes, leaders etc. in areas easily accessible by Pakistan.

2. If Pakistan starts killing Taliban then you can imagine what Taliban will do to their captives.

3. Those Taliban will be made martyrs and many more will join. Its an ideological battle and the cause for Taliban needs to be tackled, something Pakistan is reluctant to do.

Rest in peace.

No soldier deserve to die he would love to be martyr doing his duty.but this is not done.
these terrorist are nobody's friend. They will be defeated.
lord give support to their families to pass through tough times.

can u expand on that

It is a bit lengthy but I will try to give a summary.

The rise of Islamic extremism in Pakistan took place during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The fleeing Afghan refugees in Pakistan provided the manpower for indoctrination into radical Islam and later these camps became virtual jihad factories. The dictator in Pakistan that time, Zia Ul Haq I guess, allowed this to happen because he dreamt of using these jihadis against India. Further to that Taliban was created.

Things went smoothly until 9/11 when USA rained bombs and death on the Taliban and warned Pakistan to chose either Taliban or survival. Thanks to some sense of sanity they chose the latter. But Taliban took it as an act of betrayal and this present mess in Pakistan is a result of that.

Some elements in Pakistan still nourish the hope of using jihadis as a weapon against India. Therefore they do not wish to completely eliminate these proxy soldiers. If these jihadis die then who is going to fight as insurgents inside Kashmir? They cannot risk sending in regular soldiers.
