Former PM of Pakistan Abbasi Admitting he Couldn't Establish Writ of Govt!

People who have known me here must know that I very forcefully and consistently opposed Imran Khan's 2014 Dharnas--and so did most sane Pakistanis. Not only that would set a bad precedent to change the govt using street power but would also give undue space to an imported Mullah from Canada (Tahir ul Qadri), who was Imran Khan's ally then.

But... Imran's stupidity in 2014 was well helped by many members here. So long as the target was PMLN, it was okay to use the imported Mullah and his fanatical brigade, right?! And so, while I don't know the facts about the Model Town 14 deaths by police, my very strong hunch is that police didn't kill the Mullah brigade for fun--the Mullah brigades always have willing martyrs in its ranks--listen to the goons of TLP Pakistan, if you are missing the point!!!! And yet so many of you, in your myopia and political partisanship, have been roasting PMLN for the Model Town killing of 2014.

Guys: Open your eyes and think for Pakistan--not for Nawaz Sharif or Imran Khan. In your partisanship, you have taken away the powers from the police--which may be corrupt or inefficient in Pakistan, but still better than THE MOB!!!
Bang on! All that was said in your post!

I mean the PM of Pakistan could not clear a few thugs from Faizabad Chowk, Islamabad which is major entry to the federal capital is shocking. Rangers refused, Punjab police refused, Islamabad police just play acted a half hearted attempt. The judiciary also play acted by giving a judgement saying clear the darned chowk but don't hurt anybody.

I don't think the situation in Pakistan is as dire as your overall post above--the worries about the nukes, come on, part of which I am quoting here. I have thought that, starting with Musharraf, there's a reversal of Zia's policies in Pakistan. Slowly but surely there is. The nature of Westernization--and with it the liberal ethos-- are permeating the whole world. The West is superior in adopting humanity--and I say this knowing well NATO's evil work in the world-- and EVEN Imran Khan implicitly sees Sweden = Medina in some ways, but I digress.

Now to the quoted part: Yes sir, the partisanship in this forum between the PMLN and PTI fanbois was but a micro-cosm of the partisanship out in the millions of Pakistanis. Both are large parties. But the fanbois didn't realize that Imran Khan's myopia in 2014 would lead to TLP's thuggery in 2017 and now 2018. Oh heck, my own family in Karachi thought that Tahir ul Qadri was great simply because they detested Nawaz Sharif.

One party which is very clear in those terms is PPP--may that party be off the shackles of the feudals and Zardari. Otherwise, PPP is still the most liberal party in Pakistan, in comparison. But I digress again.

Where is Tahir ul Qadri now?!! This is a multi-million dollar question. Where the F he is? If he was that important figure in Pakistan to have caused so much loss to the economy and himself suffered the 14 people killed in Model Town--where's he now?!!! You, who supported Imran in 2014, were suckered into a nasty anti-Pakistan ploy--the results of those are being reaped.

Westernization took a strong foot hold in 1857 in Pakistan, at least 1857. And it has been gaining ground ever since...and we have pretty much been reactionaries ever since then...save a few....
A Zia here and a Musharraf there don't change this a much....It was the West which asked KSA to spread Wahabism during the Cold war...to me this is a form of Westernization... don't get me wrong, there are good things about the West..but it is a civilisation where appearance and reality are not the same ...a shining exterior but underneath worse than Genghis...

It's for another topic, brother. Trust me: This Pakistani has split half his life in America/Canada and half in Pakistan and has seen both pretty darn close from both angles; I have not been in some immigrant community in the West and yet haven't forgotten my roots. And I am no spring chicken, to boot. All this for another topic... Suffice to say for now: I believe we are all human beings before anything else, with the same strengths and weaknesses.

Remember lal masjid and how politicians made army in to villan? That helped TTP establish themselves. Even when TTP was killing thousands of innocents, people still supported them including Imran Khan and PTI. And TLP and general workers of religious parties are only burning vehicles and closing roads in comparison.

Now after model town police know what will happen to them if they carry out orders to establish so called state writ. Again you see Imran Khan and PTI coming in full support to TLP types before they won ofcourse.

In this scenario TLP and other political parties supporters will literally have to pick arms and march towards Islamabad to get reaction.

Imran had asked for negotiations with the Taliban. He was wrongly named Taliban Khan for that; this is coming from me who was Imran's bitter critic in 2014 because of his policies of Dharnas.

But you are right about the Model Town killings. Many myopic people in Pakistan, in order to change the govt they disliked in 2014, decided to make the martyrs out of, what my guess is, religious fanatics--fanatics who were in bed with Imran Khan then.

So essentially when, in our myopia, we discredit the State and its tools, because it suits our short term political goals, we often give the space to the Nazis or the KKK or the TLPs of this world. It's the same type of concession but with different religion or skin tone or geography. And every time, I'd rather choose a half-functioning State over the mob.

Rauf Kalaasra predicated that situation after 18th amendment .. People like Zardari,Achakzai ,Diesel are threat for federal . 18th amendment need to be revert.

I don't know why you bring 18th amendment which have little to do with this. Operation against TTP and Karachi was cleaned up for the first time under 18th amendment.

Devolving education, health and police to provinces isn't threat to federation. Neither most of provinces themselves are homogeneous to even think of that on provincial boundary lines.

After 18th amendment it is more difficult to control provinces.

Apart from the fact that Islamabad government isn't possible to be made without ruling some provinces directly or through coalition. PTI is ruling punjab and KP and is in coalition government in Balochsitan. That's your 78% of population.

I can’t just help resisting myself from intruding!!!! Reis Erdo’an faced a situation early in his terms while dealing with the Turkish General Staff, which wash basically the tutelage regime!!! It took time to fully exert the writ of the State on different organs!!! Finally, after 2016 coup it croosed the reasonable threshold!!! So, don’t lose patience!! InshaAllah IK will exert his controls!!! And, it’ll be fast since he’s run his affairs in that manner!!!

.
One thing is clear with every agreement these nutjobs are only getting stronger. You can see the arrogance on face of TLP mullah vs federal minister of religious affairs meek behaviour on talk show.

.
And Musharraf pointed finger at Hamid Mir and said, today you are asking for action and tomorrow will stand against me......... and it was so true

To be fair everyone toke U turn. Before they were asking government to take action for months. They did and then whole media and opposition turned against Musharraf in 24 hours. PTI is scared of similar backlash.

That is the reason, when Nawaz for Karachi operation to Raheel Shareef. He send Nawaz to parliament for approval. Otherwise you know , what comes next. Its unfortunate these type of small groups easily blackmail weak democratic govts. And now police is totally demoralized.

Following video is truly startling. A seasoned anchor like Talat Hussain had to pause and ask the former PM of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi again what the PM was really saying. Basically, the then PM of Pakistan couldn't even call the Rangers force to kick out only a few hundred TLP thugs from the Faizabad sit-in in 2017. Yes, the same TLP making headlines for their latest 'protests' these days!!

The whole interview is worth watching--it's in Urdu, so I will summarize a few things here:

1) PM Abbasi admitting that he couldn't even call the Pakistan Rangers--the Rangers refused!
2) Even the Punjab Police wouldn't put its neck out against TLP because of how the police got framed for the Model Town killings (yes, that time it was Imran Khan's buddy Mullahs rioting!!)
3) PM Abbasi: PM Imran Khan shouldn't have made a threat against TLP publicly when he can't carry it out.
4) In the video, there's a disagreement between the current govt's minister and the TLP guy; the TLP guy, in the video, makes a threat to the minister: You will see what will become of you!
5) TLP guy wants unconditional release of all rioters while the minister says its up to the courts to decide.

Honest man.

.
If this keeps up we may slip to a loose confederation and eventually entirely independant four countries. Think Yugoslavia.

Or we can split current 4 provinces to atleast 10. It will decrease influence of these big provinces and will help keep country intact.

.
@Meengla your video don't work ..here is his interview

Yes, the video in my OP now says "Poster removed it" but your video link says "Not available in your country". Hmmmmm. Well, hopefully a lot of people saw it or at least got an idea from this thread.
