Retired Pakistani General Hamid Gul says the United States and its allies are seeking to destroy Pakistan by fueling insecurity in the country.
The former head of Pakistan’s Intelligence Service (ISI) alleged that Washington used the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City as a pretext to invade the neighboring Afghanistan.

The former Pakistani intelligence chief, who was often accused of collaborating with the Taliban militant group in Pakistan and Afghanistan, also stated that the United States has failed in Afghanistan and is now seeking to destroy Pakistan.

General Gul also pointed out that the US military will have to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan and follow the example of the former Soviet Union in accepting defeat after its military occupation of the country in the late 1970s.

The administration of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has initiated a negotiating process with the pro-Taliban militants in an effort to end the violence in the country.

There are speculations that the negotiations may not succeed as the militants have set tough conditions for the talks.

Pakistan has been gripped by deadly violence since 2001, after Islamabad joined the so-called US war on terror. According to official Pakistani sources, nearly 50,000 people have lost their lives in fatal attacks across the country ever since.

AGREE TO WHAT HAMID GUL SAYS. Hamid Gul is a perfect intelligence mind in Pakistan and we know he is a credible personality and a symbol of PAK armed forces power.

all he wants, is to become some kind of, govtmental functionry so he can be remembered jst more then a ISI,s former commander?
not his times, though?

he has a point ... even i am not a fan of him . but there are so many people who still believe that WTC attack was inside job ...

Aaj jitna Pakistan to Pakistanion se khatrah hay utna kisi aur se nehe

People have long stopped taking him (Gul) and Baig seriously. Even for their commode malfunction, they would hold US responsible. It is sad for such officers who rose to the top military ranks in Pakistan Army to act like immature boys.

America has no sincerity with our country at all. They promote their interests ruthlessly wherever they can all over the world. Sometimes, though not always, it could be like a wolf checking which part of the "herd of sheep" to attack and attacks where he finds it easier to prey. Responsibility lies on ourselves to make sure they do not hurt us in any way and we safeguard our interests on our own and do not make ourselves "easier to prey". Human societies are more advanced than just a simple "herd of sheep" and if they are organized enough they can far more easily know their own interests and defend themselves. Hamid Gul might be old, sometimes we can find wisdom in some of the things he says.

There are lot of people saying things on the contrary. You would have to see the first thing that most of them would have business interests in USA and like to find ways to develop them which is good but we must not be blind. There are no problems in trade or other good economic cooperation, we all like that. Problems start when they start giving bribes to politicians, army, press and others and a lot of people in our elite start to blindly toe their line in everything. We have to draw a very strong line where our sovereignty starts where no foreign country could be ever allowed to interfere.

And we have to point out black sheep among ourselves who take their money, rule the country according to their will and commands and then start living abroad when the party is over. If somebody does not want his next generations to live in Pakistan, I would strongly underweight him to give him any position of responsibility and authority in my country.

I dont support him.But what he talk now about US is absolutely correct.US destroying Pakistan. And it starts just after 1979 and Soviet invasion to Afghanistan. They force Pakistan to give sanctuary to terrorists in Pak soil. And same happens after 2001 they now manifest to TTP.It is a real threat.
