For the first time .. Russian "Iskander" missiles in the Middle East/North Africa

Feel free to believe what you want my friend.
It is not about what we want to believe brother.. it is about facts.. in this case there are two conflicting news, the unofficial Algerian claim, against an official statement from the Russian..

Pls try to understand, I cannot discuss everything publicly. But have patience, the Algerians will soon enough parade it or issue a statement.

Thank You!
One should still be careful with these sources though:
The Russian page quoted the Algerian deal from an Algerian named hammer head and not from a Russian military official..

The most recent official news:

As RIA Novosti reported on November 15, 2017 , Russia delivered the Iskander-E missile system to one of the countries in the Middle East and North Africa region. This was stated by RIA Novosti on Wednesday during the exhibition Dubai Airshow 2017 official representative of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia.

Unofficial older news:

The bmpd comment.
Earlier in September 2017, Algerian user Hammer Head on his Facebook.com page reported that Algeria had purchased four Iskander-E tactical missile systems, thus becoming the second foreign recipient of this armament system after Armenia. According to Algerian publications, the contract for the purchase of Iskander-E missile defense was signed by the Algerian side in 2013.

The Suspense goes on!

As far as I am concerned, there is no suspense.

You must keep something in mind, items like these do not need PR or sales activities. Hence their is no need for Russia to advertise such hot cakes. Most media outlets are busy firing arrows in the air.

Just to give you something to think about: Hypothetically speaking Algeria has bout 4 systems. Now for a country like Algeria, this is a ridiculously low figure. I don't expect them to have anything less than 25~30 systems min, if not more.

The problem is that Algeria claims it had them for many years..and this announcement is new!? Are you saying they are getting more systems?

This is quite a possibility, that an old customer is getting additional units.

In February 2014, Colonel Igor Korushenko, the military expert, editor of the National Defense magazine, said in an interview with Russian RT channel that if Egypt wanted to contract the Iskander missiles, it would receive them and would be the first country to buy these Russian missiles.

In November 2016, the Russian military analyst Colonel Viktor Litovkin told TASS news agency that Egypt was among the potential customers to buy Iskander missiles.

In November 2017, at the Dubai Airshow 2017 International Air Show in the UAE, a representative of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation announced that Iskander missiles had been exported to a Middle Eastern North African country without naming it.
