I think LCA is a good concrete effort but it shouldn;t go into serial production. Just learn from it and build a better model to adpat to the current environment.

The plane has proven and validated many tech and issues. A great first step, now incorporate most of it with a plane with better exterior shapes, hidden weapons bays, better aeordynamics, bettter engines.......whatever our enemies are saying is seriously lacking in this one. I don't think it would take as much time.

I suspect you might want to learn more about air combat systems, there is a huge list of resources for understanding, wing loading, aspect ratio's, wing planiform, etc.

As far as you comment is concerned, please do shine some light on the sweeping statement you are making,
what makes you think LCA should not go into serial production, what is your threat perception in the immediate theater of engagement and how LCA mk1 and MK2 fall short.

Listen. I understand your anger and frustation but the plane is not world class. It will do the job its meant to but tackling China.....no F-kin way. Not even in your dreams. Pakistan maybe but looking at how China arms and gives them advanatages, not too long when they have something to counter LCA. I know Indian aeronautical complex first hand, and from your posts I can gauge you dont have a single clue of what you are talking about, hence my recommendation was to learn about air combat systems.

LCA mk1 and MK2 are light mult-role aircrafts that will take over the CAP, area defense, forward air support and ground attack roles from Mig 21 and Mig 27's. They are not the first line air dominance or air superiority aircrafts. LCA mk1 and mk2 will be relevant and a potent adversary in the theater of conflict till there are other 3.5th to 4.5th generation aircraft's fielded by china and pakistan.

Well, in America, Tejas would pronounced as "Tehas" maybe India should have a different name besides just LCA or respell the word as Tejess. In this case, it would be pronounced correctly in the rest of the world. Why create a name that is not pronounced as how it is suppose to be in the English speaking world.

You cannot guage anything as I have not responded with any information. So what did you guage from no reply? Anyway, i hav no clue about aircrafts and this is my first reply on that matter. Why the need to focus on MK1 when MK2 is clearly better. Im sure it fits a role, but I just thought like other nations they develop a products, get better with experience and then move on creating more without going into production until they meet a higher standard.

LCA is not a showpiece ..to get good exterior shape..the plane is designed and goes through wind tunnel testing to look at its aerodynamics etc..it takes lot of time and effort..- you need to gow up..put some effort into it ..seriously ..

these technologies and serial production decisions are made strategically..the war is not always about hi tech sometimes numbers matter also..also depends upon if the fighter is for front lines or for defense purposes..

Depends on the context. If the guy named Jesus Montoya. If automatically be pronounced as "Hesoos" vs "Jeezus". Tejas is Texas in Spanish. that is why I call it the Texas fighter. If you are in America, you should automatically know this fact.
