First Embraer Lineage 1000 has arrived in Pakistan

Just a side note brothers, we should also thank the great visionary admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi who took the navy to the next level, determined to make it an equal and powerful arm of its sister services. His deeply held belief that the defence of Pakistan lies in the Arabian Sea and beyond saw the signing of the Type 54A's, the Milgem variants frigates (Istanbul Class), the initiation of the Jinnah frigate program, the progress of Pakistan's sea based nuclear deterrent, the work on Pakistan's supersonic Sea based cruise missile and of course the reform of the Navy's maritime surveillance and airborne ASW capability on this thread.

Good leader but important to remember it was never just one man, many of the other projects coming to fruition were overseen or started by Admiral Zakuallah. One really has to give credit to the actual insitution of the navy in that fact that it can create and groom leadership that has the same vision and carries it on.

For example successful initiation and completion of ATR-72 MPA project laid the ground for us to have the confidence to have systems integration for the future Sea Sultan project. Both projects will span over say 10 years from start to finish.

It is no coincedence that places at Pakistan Naval Academy and Pakistan Navy War College are sought after so much.

Confirmed! The Lineage 1000 is now with PN in Karachi. Photos of the aircraft are also genuine. Its a commercial VVIP version in its present condition. PN reportedly is very pleased with the quick acquisition and delivery of the bird. However, this aircraft will remain in its current configuration for IOC development & VVIP Transport by PN.

Just to clarify again, RAS is an MRO and has no experience in Jet Conversions. They can only do ATR. The conversion will be done most likely by a US company. However and at this stage no formal selection of the Vendor for modifications has been done.

Less so if the work is done in Pakistan with non US tech, not much they can do, no sensitive US tech is being transferred, akin to asking a US architect to build a shed for the Navy.

i can only hope that we learn to do this by the time we are at 8th aircraft, and can offer this conversion to other countries too if they want it
USA wouldnt want sour relationships with pakistan as long as we dotn act stupid and focus on our economy

we also dont need to choose sides in china USA rivalry, so far we havent, and we shouldn't

good thing is USA is focused more in south china sea, not the Arabian sea or central asia

Repairing the Top Secret Plane led to something else. It's Top Secret equipment being stolen.
This is not easily possible In Russia.

Something similar could happen if a company from a country we are trying to avoid, gets involved.
This has happened before.
Or rather
certain miniscule devices / instruments / alternations could be done that could sabotage the plane, during a critical mission, in the future?

Blame would be put on the drunken pilot or faulty engines?

Some highly confidential weapons development work going on in PN that would help PN evolve in to an aggressive/attacking Navy, we might not hear about most of the stuff, which is a good thing from defence perspective.

Similarly some serious stuff going on in PAF to make it even more aggressive and potent force. We might hear about some low tier stuff with induction of Block 3, but most of the stuff would be kept secret.

PDF needs to thank PN for keeping discussions here alive nothing new from army or Air force, but PN acquisitions are at least keeping us members happy.
