Inorder for them to communicate source code needs to be shared by either of the two, which I highly doubt would be done. Just look at your SU-30mki what issues they are facing due to the same reason.

PN modernization policy is clear. No US equipment... PN has explored realistic options in China, Russia, Turkey and Europe. They have materialized several deals, have finalized many more and are in discussion for even more.

Our beloved PAF still wants to cuddle in American leap despite of repeated reality checks... Hence the uncertainty and delays.

Navy should try to push Govt. to make Gwadar and Ormara beta cities of Pakistan. It will have more positive impact on navy than making shipyards.

I know I gave answer to tipu about learning PAF from PN PAF still looking F16 from US they should look PN way if there are delays from US? No Russian means only EF or Chinese options left.

I thought PN said that Orions would be phased out and the Embraers would be replaced by them?

PN never said that it's going to happen right away. They just got a refurbished P-3C orion back in service month or so ago after two years or refit. Embraer will take a long time to get up to speed and inductee in service so the existing fleet will soldier on for another decade or more. We only bought one so far to replace a large Orion fleet. Even this example will take two or more years to be updated, if we are to go by the ATR precident.
