Good to see more women in uniform.
But according to an article posted in 2013 female rangers have not been recruited after 2008.
"Of the 30 or so female Rangers living on base at the Punjab Rangers headquarters, majority of them are still on the Sepoy ranking. In the last five years, only a handful have been promoted to the Sub-inspector position. The duties these women perform vary from protocol for female VIPs, duty at the Wagah and Ganda Singh Border and administrative work. “One wonders why there has been no recruitment since 2008,”

Pakistanis and Indians, please don't troll a good thread. It is nice to see the role of women being appreciated in the sub-continent. Let's keep it clean and appreciate the dedication and sacrifice of these noble women. It may be a better idea to politely post pictures of women in the armed forces in the sub-continent to compare their uniforms and training etc instead of degrading what is a good topic into another baby pi$$ing contest. I suggest that the teenage mullahs and pandits engage each other in another thread and leave this topic to be discussed by those who appreciate a good topic ?

Centcom posted it on their facebook page can anyone tell what kind of combat roles these female rangers of Pakistan army are given?Also it is good to see females are joining Pakistan Armed Forces.

They are mostly used for snap checking of vehicles if it has any female passengers. They are also used in raids conducted by Rangers so that they can check the women without inconvenience. The picture is misleading and probably done for prestige.
