Its amazing how people are relating the acts of some people to the entire Army. Comon guys we have fought 3 wars and limited war - called Kargil Conflict where there were numerous example of valour from both sides. They dont need any certificate from you or for that matter anybody.

As far as faking the killings for medals, it's unfortunate and corrective actions are/will be taken. On a side note is there any army in the world which is not plagued by corruption...call them kick backs, exaggerating about results etc etc

It's worth mentioning here that its the same Indian Army who is gaurding Siachen which pakistan army tried to capture couple of times but failed and if my understanding about your post is incorrect then where will it land Pakistan Army...lol...anyways not sure if this post is going in the direction it is supposed to may be time to close it...what say?

No doubt there is no army in the world which is ever clean. But the thread is about Indian army officers faking about bravery for medals so thats why we are talking about it. We are not saying the Indian army is the worst.

Well that is Pakistan perspective not the indian one. So lets leave it there.. Though the point i wanted to make was Yes there are few oficers who got caught faking it up and as far as we are limiting the scope of the discussion to these few disgraced officer's i am fine(which i assume you are not and apologies if i got it wrong). I have objections if anyone use this news and try to relate it with the whole Army because weather heights have advantage or not a person who is coward and faking valour will chicken out at the very sight of enemy. In other words gaurding siachen in those unhospitable conditions itself prooves the metal of Indian and Pak forces in general.

Though on a side note its good for India if Pak forces undermine the indian forces, better to have an adversary undermine you than to overestimate your potential and prepare accordingly yet i know there are sane and smart people sitting on both sides who wont make such a mistake.
