I know bruv. And its a big problem. The army mostly relies on ID cards it issues. If we try to pass a stolen valor like law. Then whole population and sold out politicians will cry foul

I think tri forces should have special MoS designations for JCOs,NCOs and officers. They can also apply special rules like US army teaches their servicemen not to dress in camo in civilian setting.

Some of these things they might already have.
Some pros on this forum might shed some more light.

But if you visit the store website all the badges, uniform and boots look brand new and Pak issue. My concern would be not the uniform but the unit and corps badges along with rank slides which people could purchase and emulate a position of authority.

I would imagine someone in Army uniform in Pakistan would get instant credibility? Dangerous to say the least.

In the UK you can buy army gear too but things like tactical flashes (Unit badges) or anything with police printed on it are controlled items.

How easy is it for people to purchase police and armed forces uniforms inside Pakistan?

The company is an export and supplier of old Khakis... which have more or less become a ceremonial dress...

The camo is only sold through Canteen Stores Department and carries a serial number .. meaning it can be traced back to the soldier who bought it ... through his service card.

Earlier the arid (plain) camp was sold openly on market but the army n govt clamped down... the new multi cam camo is only produced by select companies like POF etc... and can’t be purchased locally.

Have no idea about police uniforms.

The kid in the video wore his friends uniform .. who the captain later calls and threatens to come to the spot or face cons

Don't know the situation in rest of the country, but i can tell you that post Dec 2014 APS attack, getting hands on Military Uniform & Badges is not as easy as it used to be - the case here in twin cities is one needs to present his Service card to be able to buy anything ---- same goes for PAF badges - apart from the limited ones sold by PAF Falcons but even they keep a track of Buyer ------
Same was witnessed in Peshawar Market ....... If you guys have witnessed a case kindly let us know the details --- I will forward it to the concerned department - DMI........

In the UK I wear a government issued uniform at work. But under no condition can I wear it from my house to work or vice versa. This is for personal safety as we can be targets for hostile reconnaissance.

Also if our uniform is damaged or needs replacing, it is done by internal stores who you email a spreadsheet to with your item codes and sizes and pick up in person in 48 hours.

We are not allowed to buy or wear non issued items, collecting surplus uniform is a disciplinary offence.

Thanks. Yeah that sadly is common here too . People should understand that the uniform represents the branch/force they serve and any Tom, Dick or Harry wearing said uniform can bring the entire branch into disrepute.

In the UK wearing any police uniform without authority from a chief constable, magistrate or similar person is an offence under the police act 1996.

wearing another military uniform without permission is an offence against the uniforms act of 1894.

Maximum sentence is a custodial sentence.

CCD is only issued through CSD on your Army No, a limited number of uniforms can be bought on one army number.
The Upper, Lower and even the Cap has a serial number that tells you to whom that uniform was sold.

If you notice there are few details off about his uniform. His name tag is missing and the left shoulder patch he is wearing should be indicating his formation but he is wearing insignia which I THINK is worn by GHQ staff only. But GHW is not in Lahore.
