Failure in Checking Terrorist attacks in the Country
There were 21 terrorist violence incidents in Jammu & Kashmir during February, 2018 (upto 25th), in which 11 Security Forces personnel and 1 civilian were killed and 11 Security Forces personnel and 3 civilians were injured.
There were 225 cease fire violations / cross-border firing incidents in Jammu & Kashmir during February, 2018, wherein 02 Security Forces personnel were martyred and 09 were injured. In these incidents, 04 civilians were also killed and 03 were injured.
There exists close and effective coordination between intelligence and security agencies at the Centre and the State level. The intelligence inputs regarding terrorist threats are shared with the concerned security forces. The border control has also been strengthened through establishment of observation posts, border fencing, flood lighting and deployment of modern /hi-tech equipments.
