Failed Attack: Villagers Near Balakot Say Indian Warplanes Missed Jaish-Run Madrasa By A Kilometre

Wouldn't even need that. The Mirage would be over Balakot in a minute or 2 after crossing the LoC.

The procedure for launching a gravity bomb is much more involved than a glide bomb. Meaning, the aircraft can't launch the gravity bomb safely without following a very specific maneuver. There wouldn't be time for that with PAF chasing them down. Glide bombs seem more likely.

PAF did well but some of the indian jets must be shot down. where were the awacs? why they didnt give any prior warning about incoming indian jets? we were told that our awacs can detect the enemy jets the moment they take off from their bases. it seems the indian observed the pattern of PAF CAP sorties in past one week and then they planned accordingly. used some planes to engage the CAP and then attacked with the main attacking party when alll the CAPs were engaged. the only thing that was required was few indian jets down.
DG ISPR briefing covered that. There were 2 additional approaches further south, PAF scrambled for both, and then this third approach was detected by the LoC and PAF scrambled for that as well. Time between order to scramble and getting to engagement range explains the 2-4 minute IAF presence in Pakistani airspace.

no one is saying nothing about air defence system, now i just want to ask do we have one ?

.
AM, I have already calculated it. I was just thinking about the time needed to spot the target and deliver. It might have added a few minutes more. It sounds strange that the 3rd cap team which was already in air could not intercept the iaf team by then.
The DG ISPR briefing (I'll check again) was not clear on whether the third scramble was already in the air when the second IAF approach was detected further south. Depending on where the scrambles were relative to Balakot, there would be some amount of time for the PAF to get within range. Let's say 2-4 minutes, and that's how long the DG ISPR is stating the IAF was in Pakistani airspace.

Given that the bombs dropped appear to have landed in uninhabited areas, does not appear the IAF was either able to correctly target (due to insufficient time) or the plan all along was to target uninhabited areas as part of a propaganda exercise.

To be honest ISPR's press conference felt irresponsible he said that agar IAF ne military postitions ko target kia hota to ham jawab dete matlab they can strike civilians and we will wait >?
Where were SAMS???

Even Westerners are making a mockery of Indian claims.

I believe the cow pee has destroyed their ability to think on their own, they literally suck Modi's 1 inch sword, they have no shame.

Bhartis have no shame in lying, thier slum dog media has no ethics, no credibility, to appease the Indian stunted growth population they had to use 2 year old clip of PAF to claim the surgical strike for fake propaganda.

Such a shame on PAF so just they miss the target 'Is this the only excuse" Next time they will hit the target and PAF will come with new theory ....Have picnic in our airspace and went back...
Oh just fcuk off.People like you are a disgrace to our nation. Are you some paf defense expert or what?If not keep your anus like mouth shut.
The whole thing ended in just 2-3 minutes.

PAF response would good enough however it could be improved.

In fact these buggers missed their target because of PAF

In hurry they randomly fired shots and ran away.
Dude its no even worth arguing with such people.

Firing standoff weapon from LOC is not a failure, when only a single bomb was allowed to fire.

.
Its not a matter of missed or hit....Was PAF scared to just follow them even for a minute on other side...Or simply PAF does not have will to fight....for what they are then
You clearly have no knowledge of what you're talking about. This little incursion was well-planned and lasted only several minutes; I am really surprised at the speedy reaction of the PAF.

India most likely had their fighter jets present at the retreat route, if our scrambled jets followed them; it would have not been a good outcome.

. .
This is what has happened

1. You came 4-5 miles inside Pakistani territory
2. PAF scrambled its jets
3. Your jets panicked
4. Made a hasty and quick retreat
5. Took a few shots in this hasty retreat that ended up in nowhere in balakot which is a clear failure of mission
6. The whole incident ended in 2-3 minutes

Note: Just because bombs ended near balakot doesn't mean IAF aircraft made it to balakot.
And that shows a lot about IAF training and their pin point target practice like PAF pilots who already hit such targets many times in the war of terror in the tribal areas. There is definitely a difference in the training quality of IAF and PAF and secondly they are not battle hardened and have a very little or no real fight exposure.
We discussed this several times on PDF but every time the fan boys from indian side came to defend their airforce saying things like we have more advanced MKI,s and bla bla bla. What they do not realize is money can buy them latest jets but money cannot the quality training and battle field experience. And the last night encounter proved where they stand. Our pilots are tested in the recent years against the fight against terror but the best they did is a simulated and artificial air exercises at easy level.
