F35 vs rafale comprehensive comparison

Hi,

For a layman like me---( if I am a layman ) I knew the capabilities and abilities of the Rafale and what the future held for that aircraft---.

If the Paf did not know about it---then you guys need to confront them---because they lied to you---.

Hi,

Young man---you need to learn to " stop talking big "---. The talk won't defeat the enemy---right equipment would---and there is no right equipment available---.
I respect your opinion Sir, but fact remains there that there is no substitute of self reliance and reliable partner in war time. So far only China fits in equation, further requirements and tech also change with time. Even now PAF can defend it's air space much better than in the past at time of Kargil, similarly with induction of three more AWACS and JF17 block 3 PAF shall be able to keep Indian Air strike threat at minimal. However Pak ground based air defenses require to be armed with more short range, medium range and fresh long range SAMS to defend civil infrastructure also, so far only limited defense related sites are properly protected by Medium range SAMs.
However I shall stand by my statement that at time when Rafael was offered it was not having any extra capabilities which were not available in F16s. If we assume that they may have been inducted can you honestly think could be upgraded for future requirements, answer is no, neither France nor USA shall allow Pak to get high tech gadgets which may prove to be game changer in Indo-Pak scenario. Even in case of Europe only Italy has shown some positive signs, meanwhile China is a clear option for hi-tech gadgets along with future prospects for Russia/Turkey. I suppose many Retd PAF personnel are there on website having direct contacts with you. You may get their opinion as ready reference and then negate my statement regarding Rafael.

Hi,

These are sob stories---.

If your mom was dying of cancer and you could afford the price---you would care less if the medicine was made in the US France or Israel---.

Once you know about the restriction---then it is the prudent thing to learn to find ways to manipulate the situation to your advantage---.

If you keep doing the old things the old ways---you are going to get the same results as you did in the past---.

Self reliance is fine when you have equipment matching the enemy's equipment---.

But when all your self reliance equipment is inferior to that of the enemy's---and you have nothing to match the enemy with---then this recipe of disaster is indeed home grown---.

If it was not for the services of the hungarian canon maker---Mehmet would not have been able to break the walls of constantinopole---.

That canon maker brought in the most advanced canon manufacturing technology by manufacturing the largest canon of its time---.

Proves the point that some of your equipment has to be better than the enemy's equipment---.

With all that american threats of sanctions and political dilemma ,they wanted to opt f16s ?. Recently our defence minister revealed difficulties regarding f16s spare parts as americans refused to sell any spare parts .
We shld accept our mistake Rafale was a big miss and our adversory took advantage . In 90s mirage 2000 was a big miss and our adversory took advantage . In late 2000 than ACM in interview accepted that they refused saab gripen with TOT offer as they were unable to handle such delicate and modern tech and no men power . Interview is still on youtube .and after a decade a visionary ACM going for own 5th gen jet .

Sweden has never offered Gripen to Pakistan.
On the contrary, when Musharraf mentioned that Pakistan was interested in Gripen,
during a state visit to Sweden, he was told to forget about it.

Your posts become more crazy by the minute!
The cost of a Tyhoon is between £70-90m. The RAF took delivery of 129 planes at 87m each back in 2015.
Where did you getting 200m from?

Firstly £90m pounds EQUATES to $140 million each in dollars

Secondly RAF purchases are from the HOME COUNTRY so weapons and servicing and infrastucure support needed by a new customer AND training and life tom support costs are excluded.

EURO FIGHTER TYPHOON is second most expensive fighter in he world behind F22 RAPTORS

Still we purchased Erieye, which is force multiplier for F-16 fleet.

Bit American purchases will be zero in Pakistan and most nations are realising that once you buy American you are stuck

Professional and informative video with both jets pros and cons .
In early 2000 rafale had been offered to Pakistan but our top paf brass shown criminal negligence and opted for additional f16s .
Because unlike f16 they weren't at discount rate and too expensive
Even Indians backed out from 100+ and settled for 36
This new mrca could end in same way ;)

Can Pakistan Afford a $200 million combat plane be it Rafale or Typhoon or indeed F35

The reason yiou acquire 18 block 52 is they are purchased USING USA grant aid funding.

THIS HAS NOW STOPPED ……………..and the threat of sanctions on spares from USA on PAF is very real

That leaves RUSSIA who will never provide funding assistance

SO we go to china …………………

ITS LIKE there is no other options left

Rafale will completely decimate anything PAF has now and in near future

J31 god knows if that becomes reality or not
Rafale combat edge isn't over whelming for mlu f16s we defeated typhoon with em in joint UK exercises
Jf17 r catching up to f16 level
J31 is a possibility and so is tfx
U have shifted your pooja to Rafael because t50 isn't happening ;)

Just the way you Pakistanis stopped your pooja of all things all conqouring f16 to China is this that and other.

And despite harbouring concerns about your small budget jf17 getting ripped apart by bigger more powerful flankers and mig 29 your now Hoping your block three is comparable to the thirty years old falcons .

Even having had falcons for thirty years llonger than thunders you people still hope it's the falcons who live with rafale threat .

Hi,

Really---sweden so desperate to sell the Grippen to Pakistan---. Paf was allowed a fair amount of time to assess it---.

It was Pakistan that chose not to go for the Grippen---due to reasoning given by the Paf air chief of that time---" the aircraft is too technically advanced for us ".

ISLAMABAD --- In a setback to Pakistan’s efforts to get new generation Swedish-made Gripen fighter planes, Stockholm has said that it will not sell any weapons or weapon-related equipment to Islamabad.

There is no question of selling them weapons or anything directly related to weapons,” Swedish Foreign Minister Laila Freivalds said after her talks with visiting Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf in Stockholm yesterday.

Before his talks with Freivalds, Musharraf, who is currently on a tour of Scandinavian countries, said that Pakistan might be interested in purchasing JAS Gripen fighter planes from Sweden. “Pakistan is looking for a high-tech aircraft. Gripen is one of several alternatives,” he was quoted as saying by Swedish newswire TT.

Freivalds, however, said Sweden would not be considering the sale of any weapons or weapon-related equipment to Pakistan, media reports here said.

She also said the Swedish government has yet to decide whether to sell Erieye radars, which was sought to be purchased by Pakistan for its Air Force. She said a decision has to be made whether the radar came under the category of weapon. “We have yet to reach that stage,” she said.

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has been looking for alternatives to acquire new generation aircraft to modernize its ageing fleet after US declined to sell old as well as new F-16 fighter planes.

Musharraf concluded his Sweden visit yesterday and went to Finland on a two-day trip.

Hi,

Thanks for the post---.

So---one truth that comes out of it then---that the PAF air chief lied to pakistanis about the Grippen when he stated that " we cannot absorb the technology "---?????

F16s of today r different beast then the one of 80s I am surprised that u don't know this basic fact but then that's why India is most ignorant country in world because of people like u :)
f16 block 50+ Rafael typhoon r all fourth+ gen western jets only significant difference between em r payload capacities and subsystems the last of which r upgradeable and r upgraded
The jf17 block 2 r already comparable to older f16 models only thing they lack is payload being LCA but not big issue as jf17 provides 70% capabilities of f16 at below 50% of price the block 3 would be comparable to current f16 models with aesa
U don't just need $ but also sense how to spend it wisely and judging from your fiascos with tejas previous mrca tender and t50 definitely lack it ;)
