F-35: Should India Really Ride The Lightning?

Indian navy has scope to buy at least 30-40 of them. Soon we be listening to such news, I hope.

^^^ I agree, I think IN are seriously interested in F-35 and we a very much likely to see the F-35 in IN by the end of the decade.

Added to this FireScout and the MQ-4C for the IN in the near future and no one in the region could touch the IN.

IN can buy it but has to make sure there are no bugs in it....

Yes! Two squadrons of the F-35 for the Indian Navy, considering their VTOL capability.

Buddy, the F-35c programme has been all but scrapped. Even if it manages to survive, which is unlikely seeing the opposition to it in the US Congress and the myriad problems which beset it, the initial operational clearance is not likely to be before 2018/2020. Other countries which ordered the F-35c are having second thoughts.

problem with f-35 is it won't be ready before say 2020 for india i guess....and by then we'll start inducting fgfa so there is no meaning to go for f-35........but still it would be a good option for IN.
