The destiny of India and Pakistan is reunification.
The part about the burqa and the religiosity comes from the Indian non-Muslims having perceptions about Indian Muslims. In the last ten years, among Indian Muslims, there has been a huge push towards burqa wearing because of the ingress of the Tableeghi Jamaatis.

Wrong on both counts. The women know from the beginning that their lover is Muslim and there is no torture of any type.
In fact the torture the women face is later on when they are handed over to "counselling centers" run by right-wing groups such as Sri Rama Sena. Then there is further torture when they are handed over to their family.
