Exclusive: PAF Airchief Visits Rafale & M2k Units

You have Thunders coming armed with C802s then why need for M2Ks?
Mirages are still very good for deep strike with Exocit and other Stand off weapons along thunders its a good mix

Our pilots have never flown, touched or seen Rafael.

Infact they close their eyes when they sit inside and take it out for a ride.

This story is confirmed by multiple Pakistani pilots who have been flying Rafael and training Qatari pilots with their eyes closed .
Rafale been evaluated indepth by PAF 2004-5

No flight evals by pilots other than maybe a joyride for the leadership of the air force, only a few presentations and brochures.

mirage2000 time is gone..unless we are given a lemon deal like in late 1990s..
100s of them for throwaway prices with the freedom to do our own avionics from third party..not completely impossible but i doubt France will do this, as it will irritate India

in that case PAF might opt for them to replace the mirage3/5

Mind you PAF participated in an exercise with French Naval Rafales back in 2006.
Exercises did not involve any flight tests. Flight test evaluation is a whole different world. Just clarifying it.

I'm sure Rafales have evolved quite a bit in 14 years. The only thing that will probably be the same assuming no FBW updates is the flight characteristics - maybe.
It did change a lot

It’s slightly interesting how short-sighted sometimes things appear on forums.

‘Just getting a plane, just acquiring some first-hand knowledge of a fighter’. While reality is far more strategic and has far reaching consequences. All the best to what PAF wants to achieve here. :)

But then again there is no air chief here going up for a joy ride. :D
