I agree but most people in China would not have more than 2 nowadays even without a birth limit. So why limit births? China is the only country that does this.

Yeah but no children means no future generation to support the current generation, 2 children per woman is minimum to have a sustainable demographics.

This is not true , I know many friends having multiply siblings, one child policy only implemented in the cities but not rural regions, when this policy started in 1980's, the vast majority of the Chinese population were rural population, it's not uncommon to see families having 3 or 4 children.

Sure but that means millions of families in the cities had that one child policy applied to which again means millions of young people not wanting to have children which negatively affects the population growth.
And those are the wealthy educated ones on top of it while the ones who make children are from poorer rural places with less education.

In what way? It's actually the opposite. Sure, China has control of the supply chains but other than that, I don't see how the West needs China more than the other way. The West as a whole still has a GDP of about $50 trillion while China's GDP is at $15 trillion.

But the biggest tragedy is China still didnt learn its lesson from the desaster because people still disappear for telling whats happening.
Thats the recipe for the next pandemic, thats the most worry thing about all this.

Western countries need cheap stuff from China and sell expensive stuff to China. It's doubly profitable for them. Without China it's double losses

China's two months investigation for an unknown virus is not slow one. Finding a new disease needs several months or years. This is common sense.

Did you ever see me claiming that the US response was correct? They did the same mistake as China and it blow over again, do you see where the problem lies here?

Are you serious? So you say Doctors spread rumors but the Politicians who suppressed their voices for political gains were right about silencing them?
Are you seriously defending politicians against scientists when its the scientists that have the knowledge and capabilities for preventing such a disaster?
If you understand anything about exponencial growth then you would know that reacting only 3 weeks earlier, to a pandemic would cut the number of cases to only a fraction of the cases we have now, some calculations say only 5%. This means that the pandemic would most likely be prevented from becoming global and we would have already forgotten about it with a couple thousand cases.
And dont come up with they didnt know or whatever, Wuhan govermenment knew exactly what was going on, they tried to ignore it and hoped it would settle down by itself.

See this is the thing, we will keep having those problems as long as you guys refuse to learn from your mistakes and keep pretending that everything you did was correct, stop that stupid ''face saving'' for gods sake you are only making it worse.

In the UK, the 300 ventilators imported from China in early April were of unsatisfactory quality when they were tested and none have been used so far on patients.

Right now 1500 ventilators of 2 types are being produced in the UK every week and the UK already has far more ventilators than it needs and could even start supplying other European countries if it was desperately required.

Unfortunately too many Chinese have got this idea that just because China had a couple of months head start over others, somehow most other countries need them still.

A lot of the PPE that UK is using now comes from Turkey or is made in the UK. China is a minuscule part of the UK effort against the novel coronavirus right now.
