That's not true. China can't produce EUV lithography eq and it won't probably for the next 5 or more years to be able to mass-produce. Without these ones China will be stopped at 7 nm process because there are some prototypes of DUV machines that can help to improve the process to 7 nm from the current 14 nm.

For sure there are more things like that. What about even stupid things like e.g. Github? Without it, Chinese software maybe not collapse but it would take one of the biggest hits in Chinese services/industry sectors.

Don't be blind, because it will end badly for China. Full decoupling now is too costly.

The vast majority of countries do not have even a single semiconductor foundry and don't have the money or capability to build one. Look at countries like India, Turkey or Vietnam. Without foreign semiconductors they might as well be in 1940s because they can't even build computers. they'll still be on vacuum tubes.

Most countries do not contribute anything other than labor or raw materials to human progress. China is one of the very few countries to have a material and intellectual stake in advancing humanity.

In Canada, I'm hearing more about diversifying the supply chain
Meaning companies are going to be pushed to have more manufacturing centers in other countries so that are not completely reliant on China.

Samsung already moved out of China

Japan is offering money to it's companies to move out of China.

I suspect more will follow.

Did you ever see me claiming that the US response was correct? They did the same mistake as China and it blow over again, do you see where the problem lies here?

Name one country that you think adopted correct measures to contain the disease. If you can't name one. It only means human being are not able to deal with virus like this at present technical and scientific level.

If you understand anything about exponencial growth then you would know that reacting only 3 weeks earlier, to a pandemic would cut the number of cases to only a fraction of the cases we have now, some calculations say only 5%. This means that the pandemic would most likely be prevented from becoming global and we would have already forgotten about it with a couple thousand cases.
And dont come up with they didnt know or whatever, Wuhan govermenment knew exactly what was going on, they tried to ignore it and hoped it would settle down by itself.

See this is the thing, we will keep having those problems as long as you guys refuse to learn from your mistakes and keep pretending that everything you did was correct, stop that stupid ''face saving'' for gods sake you are only making it worse.

Back to the doctors topic. No country allows individuals to spread plague information to public. I believe Turky doesn't too. Plague information should only be confirmed by government. Dr.Zhang(infectionist) is the first one who found the new disease. Instead of releasing information to public, she reported it to government. Dr.Li(ophthalmologist), who told his friends Sars came back, was in the same hospital with Dr.Zhang. He definitely made a mistake. Just the mistake happened to be correct mistake. That's all.

A report presented by MSS is not the same as a report being presented by MSS.

In this case, that was a report by a random think tank with some historical affiliation to MSS due to it coming out of its analysis bureau.

Such neicans are made regularly, like 30-40 reports a week for delivery to party offices up to levels of major municipalities. Individual members may, or may not read them as they wish.

They are not like a mandatory government's "study material." That would've been a much more serious matter. Real "study materials" are always written by party's internal organs.

The bigger news here is... since when was MSS allowed to do this type of work, and got involved in internal press? It's not their work.
