U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret 'Jesus' Bible Codes

Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the U.S. military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.

The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army.

U.S. military rules specifically prohibit the proselytizing of any religion in Iraq or Afghanistan and were drawn up in order to prevent criticism that the U.S. was embarked on a religious "Crusade" in its war against al Qaeda and Iraqi insurgents.

It seems very obvious (as crusade), but somebody says no. Yes or No, perhaps both. But if so, what's the percentage of Yes and what's for No?

Please comment.

okay so the weapons have serial numbers on them
what is the big deal?

all weapons have serial numbers

Moorakh those serial numbers are Biblical references for fighting in the Name of Jesus( Holy war );)

Gpit what is your personal stance bro?

. .
they are most probably serial numbers which you are trying to see as bibical references .

how many guns/ weapon parts were produced? probably thousands.
compare that to the number of bibical verses which talk about fighting for god or jesus.

there will have to be repeats of the numbers in the guns.
prove that the numbers are repeated in multiple guns and maybe i will believe you

what if the gun was to be issued to an atheist or a person of some other religion?

too many questions remained unanswered by your assertion that it is a bibical reference.

numbers are numbers, you can create any meaning out of them even if they are not intended to be.

On reading your post, I was about to call you Moorkh but I found you are already keeping this as your Nick Name. So no more comments on that.

Let me help you with something that you could not do on your own.

One of the citations on the gun sights, 2COR4:6, is an apparent reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament, which reads: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

Other references include citations from the books of Revelation, Matthew and John dealing with Jesus as "the light of the world." John 8:12, referred to on the gun sights as JN8:12, reads, "Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Trijicon confirmed to ABCNews.com that it adds the biblical codes to the sights sold to the U.S. military. Tom Munson, director of sales and marketing for Trijicon, which is based in Wixom, Michigan, said the inscriptions "have always been there" and said there was nothing wrong or illegal with adding them. Munson said the issue was being raised by a group that is "not Christian." The company has said the practice began under its founder, Glyn Bindon, a devout Christian from South Africa who was killed in a 2003 plane crash.

It is not necessary to post in every forum, specially if you haven't read the FIRST POST and not followed the reference URL that says more.

It's not a religious crusade, atleast not in my eyes. Firstly, the serial numbers were created by a sub-contracting company, and untill now the US military knew nothing about these biblical serial numbers. Secondly, who ever is responsible for these serial numbers arn't crusading anything, in their eyes [sub-contractor] they're protecting the soldiers, or atleast they think they are.

This is funny...if Talibanis and Terrorists ...with Muslim Names can kill in the name of Allah.....why can'r a Christian soldier have a weapon that has something holy inscribed on it.........its like having a picture of your God in your Car.....

.
Funny is not if the 'Christian' soldiers carry weapons with biblical markings on them, funny is when their governments call themselves 'secular' and above 'religious fanaticism', yet doing the same or worse what they blame their enemies

Does being secular mean that you can not follow a religion........what a logic....if you are secular...stop following a religion...

A vast majority of these soldiers come from poor to lower middle class, most are high School dropouts, and extreme right wing evangelicals.

Aren't your so called jihadis worst than these......

Read SAMUEL HUNTINGTON a critic and a professor of a REPUTED professor and lecturer at a FAMOUS US Universitys Predition of 2012 .......... MAYBE IT IS A CRUSADE or atleast it will turn into one.Its a great article

Whats wrong with that?? Its pro christianity.. Not anti Islam.. So many soldiers carry Bhagwad Gita, Koran etc with them in the battlefield. It does not make those battles religious. Its just that when a man is going where there is a high probability of him dying, having your beliefs next to you helps.. I think too much is being read into this..

I say my god's name before I go to work every day. That does not mean any thing against any other religion

I think you are not reading what G W Bush is saying. Additionally, Crusading does not mean War Against Islam but it is a religious war for Christians against Anti-Christians. If WAR AGAINST TERROR is a holy war for Christians who are only targeting Muslims, one needs to have 3 months constipation and 300 glasses of bear not to think that its a Holy War of Christians raged on purpose against MUSLIMS. This tread is not the starting thread that leads to this conclusion, there are people in Muslim world who take it with this angle and Rightly So because USA only finds terrorism within Muslims so far. Amerian soldiers are already shown reading Bible and other religious scriptures to motimate themselves to fight in Afghanistan and If it is the case, WAT looses its spirit and rather becomes a war between Christianity + Zionism against Muslims.

.
A former Blackwater employee and an ex-US Marine have alleged that Blackwater chief Erik Prince "views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe," and that Prince's companies "encouraged and rewarded the destruction of Iraqi life." The number of US contractors working for the US military and the CIA in the region exceeds the total strength of the US troops and CIA personnel, according to estimates by Jimmy Scahill who has researched and written extensively about Blackwater. The presence of over 80,000 US military and intelligence contractors in Afghanistan and Pakistan makes the level of privatization of war unprecedented.

There have also been credible reports by Jeremy Scahill in the Nation that Blackwater has been working with US special forces JSOC on American forward operating bases (FOBs), like the one in Khost, in various parts of Pakistan, including Karachi, on "snatch and grabs" of high-value targets and other sensitive actions inside and outside Pakistan. The US FOBs in the region are known to recruit and create an informants network, as confirmed by the accounts of what happened with suicide bombing and killing of CIA agents at Khost FOB in Afghanistan.
