You talk about peace, fine fair enough but it seems it is purely one sided on the side of India and very progress is being made. Anyway, regarding these procurements, you can't seem to look beyond your own nose- these weapons aren't being bought with Pakistan in mind (the current Indian military inventory could easily deal with Pakistan today) but for future scenarios, whatever they may be. The IA/military in general has a policy of transforming itself into a theatre/capability based force not opponent based, meaning these deals are for any possible scenerio in the future not a particular enemy,as such it is buying equip,ent to support this ideal.

Pakistan have long long back allied with China. And US would sell equipment's to both the parties and discourage them to go to a war and then make sure that their issue is alive all the time so that they can sell more.

It is not that US or any country for that matter will be with one side for all the years of its existence!

France and England were bitter enemies in past history! But they were on the same side now! There are no permanent enemies or permanent friends, only permanent interests!

India is geographically located in of the most hostile regions of the planet wedged in-between 2 nuclear armed neighbours with whom we have border disputes with. To top if of face the constant threat of terrorist’s attacks and cross border terrorism. One would wonder why we need these weapons hmm I just wonder.
