Interesting, EJ 2000 being offered for AMCA. If that is the case point, what is with kaveri Project. Looks like all hopes have been lost on getting Kaveri engine.
That said it is a smart move, LCA program suffered a lot owing to Kaveri's treacherous development and in case of AMCA if from starting itself, it is decided to go for a mature engine, a lot of troubles seem to have been taken care off.

. This could make AMCA a valid candidate for euporean countries also. Kaveri must be upgraded at the same time. Eurojet can end this engine saga. They can also be roped in to achieve kaveri too. Best deal clinch it. One must be so dumb to avoid such an offer when nation is facing shortage for fighter jets. Just think about the amount of confidence among the AMCA customers if we use euro fighter jet engine or upgraded one for 5th gen AMCA

EJ200 with TWC is the best for AMCA.

As far as I remember kaveri is stuck with under powered turbo fan . The Russians french dumped us . That too french took us for a ride . Anyway now with our great leader at the centre am so confident that we will touch the skies with glory . Lots of great news now and then .

Ok I agree. And what is the trust for ge LCA mk2 engine vs EJ 2000 . And the he did we chose engine without TVC . Any idea ? Other than it was much easier to redesign for same class engine ? And why not have TVC for Light fighter ? IAF kept on giving new upgrade wishlist and they forgot about TVC ?

Specification is available online. GE-414 Indian version is supposed to have a little more thrust.
The decision on going by GE was purely based on cost, not performance.

During the year 2013-14, the R&D divisions at NAL have significantly contributed towards the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft programme of Aeronautical Development
Agency (ADA). The R&D efforts led to the new configuration AMCA-3B-08 and a structurally efficient wing layout with four bending attachment brackets and two shear attachment brackets. For the AMCA 3B-08, structural design, analysis and size optimization was carried out to cater for all critical symmetric and un-symmetric load cases. Finite element models were built separately for each of the fuselage segments and then integrated to build a full fuselage finite element model.
